Makeup in Carry On

My wife wants to know if Makeup is part of the new 3oz carry on bag total. I looked at the TSA list but couldn't figure out certain items:

1.) Shower to Shower powder
2.) The compact makeup powder
3.) Any other types of makeup that are not liquids

She wants to carry the compact thing in her waist pouch but we're not sure if you can do that. Anyone know?

We are going for a 3 day weekend and we are really tring to not check any luggage at all to speed our way out of MCO and straight to the Poly.

Dry makeups and powders can be placed in carry on baggage. You get one quart size ziplock to hold any liquids, gels, shampoos, etc as long as they are under 3 ounce in size per person in your carry on.
