Does anyone remember the place in Fort Wilderness that you could make your own pizza.

I mean, they gave you the dough already on the pizza sheet & then you added the toppings.

I miss that place.

Am I dating myself? I remember it in the 1980's when I was in my teen years.

Right there with you. I camped in Fort Wilderness 2 or 3 times in the early 80's and we used to love that place. I miss it too. I also remember riding the train that used to run there. And of course going to River Country.

I also remember this place - we stayed at FW on a couple of occasions and ate at this place multiple times.

I was here in the mid to late 1970s and remember a very entertaining piano player who really had a lot fo fun with the dining guests. Does anyone know the years the make your own pizza was operated?

Yes, I remember it too. Always a nice dinner option to take back to your campsite or cabin.

1) They did this for a long time at Trail's End.
2) I think it stopped around 1990. (Our last was in 1987.)
3) It was cool,
. . . you got (as I remember) a 13" pan and a gob of dough
. . . toppings were put out like a salad bar
. . . you spread out the dough and put on toppings
. . . although a flat tray, people piled toppings HIGH, HIGH , HIGH
4) When we did it, the CM's put it into the oven for you.
5) I can remember then taking the pizza to Crockett's Tavern.
. . . grabbed a table
. . . ordered a bucket of beer
. . . stayed for hours with beer, pizza and peanuts
. . . life didn't get much better than this
. . . food, drinking, singing, clowning around

6) In the 80's, there was a honky-tonk piano player at night. *
7) There were also instruments hung on the wall to play along.
8) Others would grab such things from the wall as
. . . guitar (from several)
. . . triangle
. . . tom-tom
. . . (very beat-up) fiddle
9) I have a picture of me playing along on a 4-string banjo.

* Before Trail's End was expanded, Crockett's was pretty large.
