My motivation this week is to get back to my regular routines of exercise videos, taking my supplements, eating better... all the good life stuff. Last evening I felt like I'd made the transition from moving into the apartment to living in it, which was interesting. I don't have to start going into the office until later in the month, so for now I'm working from the dining room, which I quite like.

I got my first bougie haircut yesterday and am really happy with it. When someone cuts your hair and it looks longer that's a very good thing, plus going to a salon that is decorated so nicely is a treat.

Motivated this week to put my worries aside and keep going with my life.

I did my 515 wake up which gives me time to do my daily readers Bible and journaling, shower/makeup/dressed and 30 mins of yoga before my work day starts at 630. I just feel better all day long if I do this but with vacation then this dark hole I have been stuck in at work I have been sleeping until the last minute, rolling out of bed and being miserable. Today was a good day.

Also, update on my walking pad-it’s really working out great! My one dog tries to eat it while it’s running so he can’t come in my office while it’s on, but aside from that it certainly kept me distracted today and I am at 17,000 steps and over 6 miles so I am happy!

DH has been in a foul mood and it’s led to some ridiculous arguments. He is very stressed as his job is tied up with government contracts and SpaceX. 🙄 ‘Nuff said.

I am trying to give him a pass because we need unity and peace in our home more than ever. We are planning a “Resistance Garden” which is inspired by the WWII Victory Garden. We have always focused on growing flowers, but growing our own vegetables in large containers will be our focus this year. We need a positive activity to work on together. I would love to get him into doing some art. He has the talent but always concentrated on athletics. Art is something we are both good at and can enjoy.

I have been consistently making a fruit vegetable smoothie and getting in my steps every day except Sunday. I want to extend it to 7 days. I definitely see the difference when I do these two things.

I joined an after school group called Community Mindfulness to work on stress relief. I almost fell asleep lol. I will be looking forward to the next 7 Mondays.

I'm a Dreamer/Crisis Maker. The compulsive thinking/planning and needing the dopamine hit from the deadline crisis are tied into my neurodivergent-ness. I'm really not getting better at managing either of them, but I am getting more OK with them and knowing that's how I work.

Case in point, I've had my Disney resort/park tickets booked for several months but just today bought my air tickets, because of a bit of panic over the price likely to go up. I've also been obsessing over will I really want to take a vacation considering everything that is going on, but came to the conclusion that being in the Disney bubble is the only place I will want to be.

I think that's still extremely useful! Knowing and accepting how your brain works allows you to set up your environment to work with it, not against it.

You made the right decision!

Woohoo... it was announced yesterday that we get full bonus payout for the second half of 2024.

Woohoo... in addition to purchasing my WDW airfare yesterday, I paid off my resort reservation and booked my airport parking. I'll have the rewards points for both in my account prior to the trip, which should bring me up to around $200 to go towards food. I've started looking at restaurant choices because woohoo... my 60 days comes up the middle of next week. I like to go-with-the-flow and not commit to too many ADRs ahead of time, but I think I'm going to try a couple new-to-me places this time: Topolino's for my character meal and Yachtsman Steakhouse for my super fancy date night meal.

WOO HOO! DD made it home safely from her work trip in torrential rain and wind. I think I worry more now that she is an adult than when she was a child and I was a helicopter mom.

WOO HOO! My principal got us coverage for our part time para who hasn’t put in a full week of work yet this school year. I’m so grateful for any help we receive.

WOO HOO! Even though I wanted to collapse after a draining day of school, before I did so I cut up vegetables and made the veggie fruit smoothie and drank it before dinner.
