I'm going out for my birthday on Friday with my work friends (although its actually thursday), ive been having a really crap time with one thing or another at the moment and i need abit of a confidence boast! I was thinking of buying a new top and maybe having my make up done somewhere before i go, i orginally thought bodyshop but havent heard good reviews...can anyone come up with any other ideas?

Do you have a Debenhams beside you. If it has a Benefit counter there they will do it for you. I have had mine done there last Christmas and it was fantastic

Yeah we have Merry Hill by us, thanks, do you mind telling me how much it cost?

When I went I got it done for nothing and then decided to by a mascara but I dont know if this is the norm or not. You could give them a ring and ask.

I think some of the counters at Boots do it as well if you prefer their ranges.

I've seen it being done at the Estee Lauder counter in Debenams.

Almost all concession stands in department stores will do make up for free, its to demonstrate and hopefully sell you their products, if you like your look ask the girl if she'll do freelance, when I worked for beauty counters I'd earn extra money by doing fashion shows, theatre and weddings/party makeup at peoples homes.
