Make sure and call to see if you have a pin

Just because you don't get a pin through your email, you ought to call and see if one is attached to your name. I did, and it was!!!! Room only discount. The one I wanted. 30% off of a moderate, more off of a deluxe. I am not sure if this is the Cindy one that people are talking about, but I am going to use it to book CBR this weekend.
 
So do you just call the Disney reservation Center and ask if there is a PIN attached to your name? Is that all? Or is there a special number you call?
 
I did the SAME thing a few months ago. Super bummed cuz I didn't have a Pin in my email/mail and I had signed up for everything and did all the tricks I read about on here. I called the reservation line and low and behold I had a PIN!!!:cool1::cool1: We booked CR Magic Kingdom View for our trip in less than a month :dance3:
 

With the news that Magical Express usage is down 6% I would imagine the discounts will continue in droves. We got the Cinderella code in the mail yesterday. If Disney wasn't addicted to specials before they are now.

We are going in June. Has anyone called and had a pin for a trip that far out? I've called a few times, but I'm wondering if I wouldn't even have the possibility of having one until the first of the year.

The Cinderella pin goes until 6/5/11.
 
So you are saying to call the (407) 939-7796 number and ask for reservations and then just ask if you have a PIN? Hmm I wonder if I should do this? We will be going in Jan to AKL and used the public discount, it was only 25% but with these new PINs out there, I think the discount is the full 35%. So it's probably in my best interest to call and see right??:confused:
 
It is definitely in your best interest to call. I called last year just a couple of weeks befor our vaca & had a free dining pin. It saved as an additional $500 to switch to that discount from our previous 35% off.

Has anyone every used a TA and called to see if you had a pin?

The reason that I am asking is because I just called and was told because my reservation is with a TA, they can't even pull my reservation to see if there were any discounts/pins associated with my name.

I'm pretty sure pins are associated with disney accounts on the disney world web site. If you have an account you should see if you have a pin associated with that account. I would not mention your other reservation. You can always cancel your ta res or have your ta call and see if there is anything on your account.

In fact she pretty much refused to check and said "you are already booked for the best deal for your dates" without even checking. When I tried to persist a little, she put me on hold for about 1-3 seconds and then repeated "you are already booked for the best deal for your dates". I am always very polite and cheerful when I call, but I have received similar responses every time I call. I have only called 3 times in the last 2-3 months, so its not like I'm being annoying or anything (like calling daily). I'm sure that they get alot of similar calls, but this tactic seems to work for some people (they have PIN codes that they didn't know about). Should I keep trying or give up? Does anyone else get this type of "attitude" from CM's when asking about discounts/PINS ?
 
Keep calling and don't let the grouchy CM's get to you. I have had a couple get grouchy like that and tell me if I didn't get one by email or snail mail I didn't have one. I explained that I got a pin by calling last year and never had one by email or snail mail and then they check for me. With that being said, most of the CM's are wonderful and will look that up for you happily. I have had a couple that genuinely sounded disappointed for me and told me that I was doing the right thing by calling and to keep checking back.

under a 20% Mod discount for 6/19-6/27 with 30% Deluxe available. There were other similar pins for room only that were 30%/40%, but I'm not complaining.
 
Hootch, are you saying that you did receive a PIN that had a discount for the 19th - 27th of June?? Is there anything available for a value resort? This really gives me hope! Thanks

Thats too bad. When I called the cm was really excited to check, but I did not have a room booked through cro. I believe they get credit for new bookings so thats probably why.
 
It worked! I called, a lovely CM checked and I had a 40% off deluxe code. I totally splurged--theme park view. Oh my! I'm so excited. Now I just have to convince DH that the view room is worth it. He's already suggested going down a level.
