Are there any current projects happening or how does this work? My daughter needs to do a community service project (25 hours!!) for a class at school. Just looking for options.

You could visit the "wish" thread on the dis-abilities board, and maybe pick a family who has not been blessed by the big give. Trust me - ALL their stories will rip your heart out and every one of the families would cherish whatever you sent.

Locally, she could call the "Make-a-wish" foundation. Here MAW sells paper angels in the mall at Christmas to raise funding. Teenagers often volunteer to do that - and it's fun for an outgoing friendly sort of person.

You can look on the Big Give site - BillWendy helped me do that - sign up and watch for a new Big Give Family, and then sign-up for whatever you want to do. There is a Big Give family right now with a Nov 3rd ship date. I just did a scrapbook for this new family at my scrap weekend.
