I ran out of room and had to split this post up...
Thank you for the update, I've enjoyed reading it again. Lauren dancing with characters is just unbelievable sweet. And reading has helped know what to expect when we take jonah since he's in a wc and the accessibility of the rides. I was in grinning the whole time i was reading your last installment.
becca
I know...it WAS so sweet...and I am glad that I am able to show you guys...
If you need any additional info about the rides...you can PM me...
Have you found the disABILITIES thread yet? There is a "sticky" on there that has a BUNCH of info about rides, etc. Because you guys may want to ride different stuff...?
Anyway, I am glad we were able to help!
Was that not a BLAST! Can you feel it?!?! I hope you can...Because we had so much fun. This hour was worth the price of admission. It was fun! Probably one of the highlights of the whole trip for me personally. It was fun to watch the characters love on Lauren...and when the rest of the gang showed up...to watch them all dance together. I wish I could bottle that up and spread it around all year long! What a great time we had!
But...it had to end eventually...Midnight rolled around and we headed out. We were pretty slow leaving and I needed to find a restroom...so I left ahead of the gang and we decided to meet by the monorail entrance.
I distinctly remember sitting on a bench just outside of the MK gates...looking above my head at the monorail and thinking about how tired I was...but that it was a GOOD tired. I didn't remember being that happy in a long, long time.

I sat on that bench and watched the monorails pass by and really enjoyed these moments of just quiet reflection. I prayed and thanked God for a wonderful day...a wonderful two days. Can it get any better than this? Life is good...

This brought tears to my eyes. You can tell how much you adore Lauren and her family.
And Disney does have that magical something about it. Lauren looks so happy!
I can't wait for the next installment!
Amy[/QUOTE]

I do adore them.
Lauren DOES look happy, doesn't she! She was about to BUST with happiness, I think. She could not help but smile...
Next installment is coming tonight...I hope...

Her wheels are awesome. My Emma has purple wheels. They are much smaller, she just turned 5.
We LOVE Disney World. We are going again on Thanksgiving but we are staying off site this time.
If you or Lauren would like to check out her website, here it is:

There are tons of pictures from our trip to DW this past Jan/Feb.
Amy
First of all...Emma is SOOOO cute! And you are doing a great job keeping all of those pictures updated, etc. I know that is not easy at all when you have a disabled child to take care of...Kudos to you!
Emma does remind me a LOT of the pictures and video I have seen of Lauren at that age. Full of life and so stinking cute in her little bitty wheelchair! Lauren was the youngest child (at the time) to get a power wheelchair in Mississippi. They had to submit a video to show that she knew how to cross the street and load up in the van, etc to get her insurance to pay for it. She was about 3 and a half, I think...and that was 12 years ago.
Has Emma done a Wish Trip yet? It is a wonderful experience! She could do Disney and stay at GKTW...or she could do whatever she wants!!
Where are you guys staying at Thanksgiving (you can PM me this info, if you want)...we are probably going to stay off site next time we go and are looking for something that is accessible (we do need a roll in shower, though) and fairly inexpensive.
And how did Emma get to be on Good Morning America? That is so cool!!

My Emma got her wheels the week before she turned 3. She did really well right from the beginning.
Thank you for all your kind words about Emma. "Our girls" have a way about them. Emma is cute and Lauren is just simply beautiful.
Emma hasn't had a wish trip yet. Maybe some day.
I don't want to hijack your thread so I will PM you.
Amy
Oh...I really, really hope you guys decide to do Make-A-Wish sometime soon! I wish we had found it when Lauren was a little younger. Our friend wished to meet a famous person...and got to do it! Wow! Another wish Lauren thought of was to go to Paris and go shopping...(FUN!)...but not very practical for flying with her chair and baclofen pump.
I can't wait to show Lauren Emma's homepage and pics!!

They are so similar!
I am loving this trip report! You are such a great storyteller!
I can't wait for "my" outfit to show up. I am so happy I got a sneak preview on rocker day at school. That really made my day! I am so happy Lauren likes her skirt.
And I got a sweet card too. Thanks Mary!
Can't wait to read more!
aw...you are so sweet..
Did I not post a pic of your outfit??!?!?! How in the world did that happen?! I need to go over to my Pretrippie and figure that out!!! and post one!!!
More is coming tonight!!
YEAH!!!! I am so glad...and so glad you told us!!

We are having fun re-telling our stories...

Glad you have joined us!
Just checking in and catching up on your trip report!!!
Lauren looked absolutely beautiful in her Tinkerbelle costume for MNSSHP! She looks like she had a totally awesome time at the party. Tell her that Tink is one of my favorite Disney Characters. In fact, I'm carrying my Tinkerbelle purse with me today (its got the scene of Peter, John, and Wendy flying to Neverland and she's in green sequins and sparkley wings) Tink is awesome. I hope that everything has been well with her.
Bear Hugs and Pixie Dust,
Meredith
She does, doesn't she!

I will tell her...actually, I will show her this as soon as I see her tonight!
You have a Tink purse?!?! Now, we don't need to tell her THAT...
Lauren is doing really well. She has a LOT going on with school...being in High School is demanding on time for the schoolwork. Lauren doesn't "half do" anything, so it takes her a while to do all of her homework. And she is involved in lots of things at school...like Student Council, Youth Government Club, etc. And lots of things at church. So she is really busy (which means the folks that help her are busy, too!) And we love every minute of it!
