OMG that is adorable. I had to go back and check and sure enough your girls both have the same chest measurement so same size! Awesome to get double use and it looks great on her!

Not much planning accomplished today because our nurse didn't show up again today, but honestly it was nice to be able to have some one-on-one time with my baby girl until the kids got home from school.

I did receive a call from GKTW, however. They wanted to confirm our mailing address because they are sending a packet. I have no idea what is in the packet though!

Also, our MAW granter touched base with me on our coming home flight so that I can let our nursing agency know when we want to resume service. We are leaving Florida around 4-something in the afternoon and returning home around 6-something local time (which would be about 9-something Florida time). I don't think we are going to get an evening nurse, but we definitely will take advantage of a Sunday nurse so that we can all unwind together.

For those of you that don't follow Hannah's blog, my beautiful girl has to be watched 24/7 because of her trach, her global delays, her movement disorder, and because of her significant overall muscle weakness. She has pulled out her trach before, had coughing spasms, and even just arching her neck too much may pull the trach out. We get an average of 8 hours a day of nursing so that we have a bit of respite (usually that is when i sleep because I do the night nursing for her).

Needless to say, a week without nursing at GKTW/WDW is going to be interesting! But we decided that we didn't want a nurse with us this trip because we truly want this to be a family event. We will make it work.

Sorry about the nursing situation...We have been trying to get nurses for Eva BUT cannot!! It is hard because I am up with her all night and have her during the day...I have learned to do it on LOTS of coffee....Eva wraps her feeding tube around her NECK!!! So we were trying to get night nurses but we are very rural!! I cannot imagine how hard it most be with the trach!! I had a few children with one and was UBER careful!!!

I hope you have a very very quiet day!!!

I feel very humbled right now ---

My older kids are at their grandparents house here in town this weekend because my hubby had to go out of town for work, and it is easy for me to take care of Hannah alone instead of having all three kids.

However, there are not one, not two, but FIVE big give packages downstairs that they get to open tomorrow night. FIVE!

I was told that because of the time frame and only a month's notice, that Hannah's give would be a "mini give" and that it likely wouldn't be as big as a normal 'big give.'

This is hardly mini! This is HUGE. I have been so touched, so amazed at not only the quantity of gifts that have been sent to my kids, but the absolute quality of the ones we have received so far.

It means so much to me that so many of you want to make this trip even extra-extra special for my family.

My children are so important to me, and I know it is not 'the norm' to put more effort into creating memories for the siblings than for the wish child. I feel a lot of guilt for what Ethan and Abby have gone through for the past 2+ years and even more so for what the likely future will be.

Hannah is going to absolutely love this trip, and I know that she will have so much fun. But this is the trip that Ethan and Abby are going to remember for the rest of their lives, and all of these extra "bright spots" with these big give gifts are just making this so much more meaningful and showing them that this trip is just as much for them as it is for Hannah.

Just wanted to say 'thank you' to all of you involved.

I must confess though I had a really hard time packaging it up and NOT making something for the kids as well. Anyhoo, if it's not in your batch of goodies it should arrive early in the week.

One Christmas season when our parents were out for the evening we steamed all our packages open so we could plan how to react to the horrid outifts and we tried them all on so we could say they didn't fit right in the bbs or hips or whatever! We taped them all back closed and my mom was none the wiser

So needless to say, I second Wendy's idea
