Majority of adult Americans don't want H1N1 shot

You DH is wrong. That strain was not like this one. If you were born 25 years earlier and had the 1956 strain they he would be right.
Actually, we've both been around people who've had the H1N1 flu already this year in October and neither one of us came down with it. I felt a bit funky a few weeks ago, but it passed after a few days. DH is still going strong.

I think I'm going to believe my DH instead of the people on the internet.

My two school aged kids are getting it tomorrow! I'm quite relieved as my oldest as asthma. All of Indianapolis's public schools are giving them to the school aged kids. (Of course with parent permission.)

Now I need to figure out something for my preschooler!

Nope. I'm pregnant and I'm not getting it. Why? Because I'm one of the lucky ones who got GBS (well a variant called CIDP) from a seasonal flu shot in 2004. I will tell you this it took me TEN WEEKS from injection to onset of symptoms. How do I know then that it is flu shot related? Because the Gov't paid out my claim.
There are a lot of unknowns with this shot too. Has it been adequately tested (how could it be as it was rushed to market). Wish I had a crystal ball to know the right answer.

That fact came from a medical professional not people on the internet.

I wonder if that will make people more reluctant to get their seasonal shot? Not me, I'm glad they're including it.

If this stain had been more widespread last April it would have been included in this years seasonal flu shot. The reason we have two shots is the season shot went in production without the H1N1.

i never got the other flu shot and i won't be getting this one. our bodies are made to fight off these infections so i don't really see a purpose...EXCEPT if your in the medical field, then i can understand.

and the thing that really bothers me is that they're telling pregnant women to get this shot. do we even know how it will effect the babies?? i'm not sure if that's a good idea, to get the shot, or not in that case.

besides, i've only had the flu maybe twice in my life and i was able to get over it just fine.
