Major Expansion...in case you haven't seen it....

As if anyone of us needs an excuse to visit Disney, this is just more icing on the Castle.:lmao:

WOW sounds like it will be pretty awesome :thumbsup2

I think it's amazing that my local stations here in the Virginia Beach area are covering this on the late news! Maybe it's just a slow news weekend. I told my wife, "See...other people besides me MUST be excited about this!"

I just hope they don't have to close a lot down while they are doing it.

This is FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! I can't wait for this!!:goodvibes I remember when I watching the backstage Disney on The Little Mermaid video and they had this ride on there. If it's going to be anything like the one they showed, it's going to be very, very cool!!:thumbsup2

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. We haven't been since 2006 and we are planning on going next year . They are usually good about hiding construction and keeping all the rides they can open though...fingers crossed :goodvibes

I'm excited about the expansion, but a little sad that Toontown is going away. I liked Mickey, Minnie, Goofy and Donald sort of having their own "land." I know it needed work, but it was nice they had a place to live. They said Mickey and Minnie will be moved to the front of MK, but I don't know what that means. I'm really psyched about the Be Our Guest restaurant, but not so much the individual Princess areas, I wish there was another ride in the plan. Who knows though, I'm sure things can and will change.

looks very cool, glad they are moving forward on some big changes. I guess it can be said that is the good thing about HP at Universal, at least it is making Disney react!

I am concerned too about the construction- when will it start and I wonder how bad it will be and what all will be shut down. I know they will try and minimize best they can, but this is a HUGE undertaking. IT will be interesting to see how it all comes together. when is the slated opening- 2012?

I'm glad they are making this change. It seems a little risky because it appears the Fantasyland landscape will change quite a bit. And, I'm guessing based on the concept art we can say goodbye to Mickey's Toontown Fair.

This expansion does a lot for families with girls, but unfortunately, doesn't address the need for boys.

And our favorite friends STILL have their place to live!

For those who've never made the journey, Disneyland in Southern CA has the original (and much larger) Toontown than "Mickey's Toontown Fair" at WDW.

Make the trip -- it's worth it.

Very, very cool.

I just hope they are able to squeeze in more old fashion, dark rides like Snow White. Like a Robin Hood ride. Or the Rescuers.

I love a dozen more of those type of rides.

But it does look exciting with what I can see.

I'm excited but also a little sad becasue I collect Minnie Mouse's. Doesn't that mean her house will disappear too???:confused3 I'll be sad if they do get rid of it.
