I recently had the good luck to win an auction for this authentic retired sign that was used in the Magic Kingdom. I'm certain it came from the Main street Station, but I think it was displayed during a period when I was not able to be a regular visitor, so I'm not sure where at the station it was used. I would love to have a photograph of it in it's original location to frame with it, but so far have not been able to locate one for certain on the internet.
Here's my sign.
I at first thought that this was used on a sandwich board at the bottom of the staircase, like this similar sign from the period.
When I actually received the sign there was no evidence of it having ever been mounted by the back, such as glue residue, and then I found this picture that might actually be my sign or another copy, and it is in a frame where it was displayed.
Unfortunately it is a close up picture that doesn't give much clue to it's location at the station. Both photos are from the 2007 to 2009 period, If that helps. The mystery is driving me nuts! Does anyone remember this sign, and do you perhaps have a picture to share? Thanks for your help! I really want to know the history behind this sign!
