What do you love to do on MS? Or on whatever it's called in DCA (Buena Vista??)?
we've taken one trip since, oh about 1995, and we mostly rushed past all this stuff. In DL we did stop by Mad Hatter of course. And the candy store but we didn't really take our time exploring stores and any thing else to see.
What is your must see stuff closer to the entrances of the parks?

I love the Penny Arcade, it was always a favorite place at the Magic Kingdom growing up and now it isn't there so it has a huge nostalgia factor for me. We like to just walk down it and check out cool things like the magic shop that aren't just generic Disney merch stores. Of course there is Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln, which we don't do every trip but is really nice on a particularly hot day. As far as DCA is concerned, other than the kids pin trading at Oswald's we don't really stop much on that street (unless it is to board the trolley).

I'm looking forward to getting our silhouettes made on our upcoming trip. The studio is next to the crystal store on Main Street.

Also, ice cream from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlour.

now that the train is stationary, explore the building and the train, great trivia contest to name, which I cannot name all, all the contents of the building. Watch for the horses to be removed, another trivia question. the flag pole and its Marceline( a city within self that is this internet site trivia question....and no...not the hometown fact) counterpart. Walk down the alleys and listen to the windows. Watch candy being made. emporium windows. And the musical acts, the hub is always busy, especially later in the day, which I have always discovered by mistake. Flag ceremony. At Christmas month, I love watching the crows coming across the hub during the evening as they prepare to roost. And if you are a Rusher of Main Street, have you rode all the vehicles or even know the names of the horses or rang the bell or photo op on the truck or cannons......and now the train is closed.....on my list is to sit on a bench high above the street.

My son LOVES trains so this is a wonderful idea! He will be thrilled!
We've never rode anything on MS, so that's another great idea

Sitting at Town Square and just relax. Our Mouseketeer loves riding all the Main Street Vehicles so we spend a lot of time just hanging out. The porch that has the chairs is just the best place to people watch and taking it all in.

I almost always ride one of the vehicles down Main Street. I also watch the Flag Retreat Ceremony when I get a chance.

I like to spend far too much money in the Disneyana store. Seriously, I should probably get professional help! And we always have to eat at Carnation Cafe.

We like to read the different names on the windows and doors as we walk down MS. Ride the vehicles or wagons. Watch the band in front of the railroad station. Find a bench in towne square and people watch. Walk slowly down and absorb the atmosphere and try to imagine a time and place that existed just like MS.
