Main Street Electrical Parade and "Nightastic" Fireworks coming this summer

Anyone know what TIMES these parades a fireworks are?

I always wished they started earlier as my kids end up falling asleep WAY before the fireworks begin.

It's rumored that the nightastic fireworks will begin on June 6 and run through August 14, 2010. These dates have not been confirmed by WDW - rumors from several blogs.

It would be very nice if the summer works were extended until the fall. My DH & I are older and the summer humidity does not agree with us, we always go in the fall.

Do you think the fireworks and MSEP will last past the summer? We are going in late September and my family and I have never seen Wishes and I think I may have seen SpectroMagic, but I have a very vague memory of it. We haven't been since 2000 and we don't get a chance to go very often because of the price, so I would hate for Wishes to not be there when we go.

I hope it's extended! I read one thread on the Dis saying that another site (miceage??) has stated that the parade would be extended for 2 years. This isn't official news by any means, but it would make sense to have the MSEP at WDW for more than a couple of months. It's a lot of work to get the floats from CA and having the different parade during the Fantasyland rehab might draw some people to the parks. Time will tell whether it's officially extended or not.

Last I looked summer did not end on Aug.14! Geesh, I was all exited to see this show and then they announce it will end Aug. 14th what a bummer!

Instead of Summer Nightastic it should be called teasetastic

Today's Orlando paper has the Mainstreet Elec. Parage running from June 6 through Aug 14. Hope they extend the August 14 date.

Typically MSEP is at 9 and 11 and Fireworks are at 10
