Making our first trip ever to Disneyland CA with 11 year old twins....considering Main Street Electrical Parade/Aladdin to Go Meal Package for reserved seating for parade....can't find anything that gives me an idea of what the actual meal might include? Anyone done this recently and have an idea if food is something kids will actually want to eat and is reserved seating for parade worth the package? Son is on spectrum and usually anything that makes wait time and surrounding crowd of people not as packed is reason considering.

It's a choice of chicken breast or meat or veggie lasagna, a side, which is salad, and a dessert.

I had the lasagna meal and I thought it was pretty good! Much better than I thought it'd be :)

I was afraid to admit I felt the same way. ;)

We sat down and ate ours in the Aladdin's Oasis in the middle of a crazy busy Saturday in the parks. It was almost empty inside..... and wall to wall people outside. It was a lovely retreat from the craziness of the crowds. And we accosted Jasmine, Genie and Aladdin for a quick photo on their way in from a set (wanted to wait in line but it had been cut when we got there).

Be aware it is not seating.....it is standing. In a pretty small area that was pretty crowded.

I think it depends on the day. We have done it twice and sat on the short wall both times. We were not there early, in fact there was an announcement while we were on our way over that parade viewing areas were full and closed for the first show. Luckily we had our tickets and it wasn't a problem. This was in February, I think it was the first weekend that MSEP was showing. The other time was last summer for PTN. My daughter loves the food there. I may surprise her with one last Aladdin On The Go, as this is likely our last DL trip for a long time. We are moving to WDW next summer, so that will be our home resort.

Can anyone tell me if the kids spaghetti option can be ordered without the marinara? I'm guessing not, but checking for my picky eater ;)

Kids meals have chicken or spaghetti. My DD8 quite likes the spaghetti.

We sat. Even a couple of rows back, as long as everyone else is sitting (and they will be), you get a good view of everything.

Yes, I just asked Disney Dining this question, and the person I spoke with said this should be possible. You might want to make the reservation by phone, and ask how to do this.

I also asked if they could accommodate someone who eats vegetarian and gluten free, and apparently they can't, because there is no kitchen at the location. I was surprised, given how good Disney normally is about food needs.

I think the value is actually pretty good. Its less than any other sit down meal and everyone in my family was pleasantly surprised by the food. Nothing amazing but completely edible and it is very relaxing to sit in the Oasis and eat it. We have not done the package for MSEP but did it for Paint the Night a few times. I have a disabled kid and one who is undiagnosed but clearly on the spectrum and having a garunteed area to stand is important to us. We have never had any luck watching parades any other way. My "typical" kid simply can't have people in his personal space. Which meant as people crowded in, he shrunk back. Invariably he would get so far away, we would all have to leave our spots to catch back up to him. THis viewing area has some nooks and crannies so he can get some space.

I actually heard a family request this for their daughter and it didn't seem to be a problem.

I too thought the food was better than I expected. And I appreciated that drink and dessert were included. DS had the chicken and ate it all except a few green beans. DD had the spaghetti and ate all of hers as well. I liked my veggie lasagna and my mom enjoyed her chicken. We ate ours there and it was a really nice break for us. We'd do this again.

ETA: We also were very happy with the viewing area. The fact that its elevated gave us a really nice view of the parade.
