Magicians & Jugglers & a Clown Slide, OH MY! We're going to the BWI... A Nov 2010 PTR

I cannot believe you have had a pre-trip report going for almost a month now and this is the first time I've seen it. What I have I been doing on here?

I love your trip and dining reports. Going back to catch up.

Shelly You have to get that Kitchen Sink if you go to Beaches and Cream and take a pic for us :)

We had lunch there when we stayed at YC I do not think they had the kitchen sink back then , at that time they had the largest burger in the world, DH and the boys all got one , I passed I think I took a bite of DH but they were the size of a dessert plate, huge  I haven't seen anyone mention those on here so they might not have it anymore.

You do have a lot of good places to eat staying at BW plus all the options over at YC/BC and even Swan and Dolphin.

I think it was mousesavers but not sure I get so many newletter, they had a link for Orlando coupons and there were some for S/D, also Planet Hollywood and Rainforest which I have read can be used at T-Rex I am gonna give it a shot and see if they take it

I have heard of the Kitchen Sink! I don't think my picky eaters would appreciate all the toppings though. :confused3:rotfl:

Thanks so much for the links. That would be awesome if T-Rex honors the Rainforest coupons!

Awwww look at the lovebirds in the backseat at the drive in! :lmao:

Sci Fi is definitely on my list for our next trip. We've only ever done CS and I can't say much good about any of them. :sad2:

 I told you our waiter got carried away with the pics and poses!! I wonder if he is a photopass photographer when he is not waiting tables at Sci-Fi?! :rotfl:

Sci-Fi is very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal there! I wouldn't mind going there at least twice the next time we are there. :D :cool1: We also would like to try Prime Time 50's - I completely forgot about this place when I planned the trip.

I wouldn't mind going there twice on one trip either!! :thumbsup2

Loved the trip through DHS dining!! I had some great food there but the service wasn't the best but I would love to try it again!!! I loved the atmosphere! I hope you and your family have a 3rd great meal there!!!!

Thanks Jen! I hope we do too. I am a bit worried after loving LeCellier so much and then being so disappointed by it last year. I hope the same thing doesn't happen at Sci-Fi! :scared1:

Shelly - we didn't actually eat at B&C - just some of our group got ice cream. We never managed to all go together to get the Kitchen Sink - next time for sure. But I have heard very good things about the burgers. They don't take ADRs, so going at an "off" time would be best.

I was thinking about stopping in there for ice cream sometime. We'll see how things go! I think it would be fun! :goodvibes

I would allow them back out to dance one more time for your luggage making it's way out of the deep dark recesses of the unkown, but sadly they have exhausted themselves and are needed in Toledo for a special midnight Black light dance showing.
Better luck next time.

He has been kicked out of the Banana Dude club.
I think he was smoking dope or something in the dressing room--- he looks not quite "right". A little shifty --- his eyes are too close together.:lmao:

Jo..you are a riot!!!!
Shelly~ does your dog freak out when he sees the luggage come out? Mine does!

It took me a while, Shelly, but I made it! I'm enjoying your PTR so far. Since both our families will be at the BW during the same week, we HAVE to plan a DIS meet! I'll have my LGMH turkey on my brown & turquoise VB mini-hipster, so be on the lookout for me! (If I get up the nerve, I'll post a picture of me on our November board.)

Hooray for ME and luggage and October!!!!

Jo- How much coffee have you and your nanner dudes been drinking? :lmao::rotfl:

Have a great day of birthday party bowling!!!! Happy birthday to DS!!!!party::bday:party:

Side note- Your house is a split level right? I love that you have a wall between the foyer and living room. I have a banister and arranging furniture drives me nuts because of it. I don't like walking in the front door and seeing the back of a sofa between the banister bars. Maybe dh can make it a solid wall. "Oh dear sweet handyman hubby...I have an idea! "

No, he doesn't seem to care. But then he is 14, not too much bothers him these days!

 Maybe we should all post our pics on the November thread before we leave!

Thanks Kim! :goodvibes

Yes, it is a split level. We're not huge fans. We prefer a ranch, but we had to have a house last summer when ours sold, so here we are! I fall down the stairs often. :upsidedow But anyway, yep there is a half wall between the foyer and the living room. It does look nice!

I don't think your DH is going to like where this is going. . . :lmao:

And to end our WDW park dining discussion, we have AK Dining!
(Not to worry, we still have DTD dining and all the resort dining to talk about!::yes::)

As with all of our experience at AK, our dining experience is somewhat limited.

Places we have eaten:

Rainforest Cafe
Donald's Breakfastosauras (no longer available)
Tusker House breakfast
Restaurantosauras
Pizzafari

We ate dinner at Rainforest Cafe in AK on our very first trip back in 2005. It was actually our very first Disney ADR! We thought it was okay. I remember it being very loud, crowded, and the food being average. Sorry to say I can't find any pictures.

Donald's Breakfastosauras used to be served in Restaurantosauras. I am pretty sure it was 2007 when we ate there. It was pretty much what the Tusker House breakfast is now. But Tusker House is a little bigger and there may be a few different characters. Here is the one and only picture I could find of it ~

100_1849.jpg

We had breakfast at Tusker House in January 2009. I remember we had a very early ADR, maybe 8am-ish, but we had been at DHS the entire day the day before and it was supposed to be a chilly morning that next day, so I called and moved it to 10:00am, with no problem. We were seated right away and had a nice time. The characters were a lot of fun. The buffet was big and most of it was very good. I do remember the eggs being a little wet, but other than that things were good. Service was kind of slow when we were paying the bill we had to wait quite some time. I think they were having computer issues or something.

Restaurantosauras used to serve McDonald's food, but now it's just Disney burgers and fries and other fast food. We had lunch there one day in 2008. We actually met up with a co-worker of DH's and his wife. We had a nice time sitting and visiting. The food was average.

Last November we went to Pizzafari for lunch on our AK day. I'd have to say Pizzafari is pretty much Toy Story Pizza Planet minus the arcade! The food tasted about the same. Okay. The kids and I had pizza and DH had a sandwich.

So that's our AK dining!

What's in store for AK dining this trip? Nothing!! I am pretty sure we have decided to head over to AKL to eat after we are done at AK. And being that we will probably only be in AK for a few hours and only on 1 day, I guess we won't be eating there at all. Although we may stop for a snack somewhere! Any snack suggestions?

I am like you , not overly excited about AK, last year we ate at Rainforest Cafe, other years I don't remember eating AK at all. This year I had an ADR for lunch at Tusker House but when I switched dates and I decided since it was our last day we would have breakfast at the resort at Boma's then head over to AK for a couple of hours.
I am thinking maybe if anyone is hungry before we head back to AKL for ME Pickup :sad1: trying Flame Tree BBQ, it seems to get decent reviews, just gonna play it by ear since it is our last day at Disney.
