I forgot to add to the original update---- she said it is FREEZING down there!!!!
That's saying a lot considering they were supposed to get snow in PA this morning when they were leaving.

I don't know about the balcony request at BWI- I just know that we had talked at length about how bad it would be if she didn't get a balcony. It's the ONE thing I know she wanted and was stressed about.

Sheila-- I'm hoping things will be better for them once they get some sleep. Her youngest was feeling bad last weekend, but I don't know if it's the same thing or not. I know they got up super early so hopefully after they get some sleep things will be better.
Is it the last weekend of F&W fest ?? Maybe that was why Epcot was crowded.

I'm sure she'll text or call tomorrow with an update. Hopefully it will be a good one.


Teri------ you're like me- my house is never as clean as when I'm stressed or angry. I enjoyed your game- but I know if it had've been FL like that it would've been nerve wracking.
We play USC next week- night game at the Swamp , playing to see who goes to the SECCG!!!

I sure hope she gets to move to a room with a balcony since that was what she really wanted. That and some rest should do wonders! Yesterday it was freezing (for us ) here with a high of 59 degrees and really windy. In the sun it wasn't so bad, but in the shade and with that wind, brrrr. Today was much nicer - still cool but not so windy. I think they are about a day behind us in weather, so tomorrow should be better for them.

We have had the craziest football season ever. One minute everyone is hoping Miles and the whole staff is fired, and the next minute he's the mad hatter and everybody loves him. It was sooooo great beating Bama and Saban, though. Even though I just about had a heart attack! At first I thought you meant you played Southern Cal! Carolina got beat pretty bad by Arkansas today. I think y'all will win that one. So if you beat them, you're going to the SEC championship game? Hey, that's not bad for a down year! I don't think we have a prayer to make it.

I do hope Shelly was able to get a room change. I remember our 1st trip to WDW was freezing too. In our pictures, we have on coats, hats and mittens at midday! It had snowed the night before we left NC which is not normal for end of Nov.

It's not good.

She texted about an hour ago. She said that when they got there the room wasn't ready and once they got in, there was no balcony. (The one thing she wanted the most!) Don't know if they asked to be moved or not.

They went to Epcot and it was super crowded-- no FP's for Soarin by noon.

Also- the worst--- her DH and youngest son are not feeling well.

She's hoping tomorrow will be better once they get some sleep.


I'll give you guys updates as I hear from her.

Well crud!!! I hope it's warmer today and they can switch her room around!! I am hoping after a long sleep last night they are all feeling better..by Mon isn't it suppose to warm up to high 70s? Bless her heart..I will be praying for her today!!!

Is there any news on the clown pool, I suppose if it is freezing it won't matter.

The arrival day is the worst for not feeling well. Heading to the parks that late in the day you do experience huge crowds (esp with the saturday arrival).

Hope they packed some warmer clothes and that the crowds thin out... it was to warm up this week, so more pixie dust for better things to come!

We are going to boardwalk too and I must have a balcony!!!
I think people are still lingering from Jersey week and that is why it is so busy.
I think things are going to warm up by tomorrow so hopefully that will be better..I will say a prayer that the family feels better this morning too!

Hey guys-

Haven't heard from Shelly yet but I'm going to be giving a synopsis every day of what she had planned to do the day before. So it will be after the fact and things may have changed but we won't know for sure until she updates me.

So here's what yesterday's plan was:

Saturday Nov 6th ~
Arrive at BWI around 11:00. CS Lunch at BW or Epcot. . . Go to Epcot (hours 9-9) for a few hours. Back to room to unpack and check out the BW. . . Big River Grille dinner. Go back to Epcot if we are up for it!

I'm pretty sure Epcot was a no go last night with the way they were feeling. I hope they had a good dinner at BRG at least.

Hopefully the weather is going to be warming up and the Jersey crowds will be leaving today.

JoBird- next week is the final weekend of F&W so I guess it was just busy at Epcot

I do so hope she got a room change to one with a balcony.

Hi JoBird! To be honest, I have no idea how hard it is to get a balcony at the BWI! I know, I'm no help. With my family of five, we stay in a Deluxe Room on the club level floor. We have always had a balcony, but for what it's worth, when we stay on the third floor of the BWI, we get a full balcony, and on the fourth floor, there are very small balconies. I know there are five floors to the BWI. I hope she is able to switch rooms--I know how much Shelly wanted a balcony. I'm going to head over to the BWI thread now and will post here if I find anything out on the balcony situation.

She is going to call either today or tomorrow when she has some downtime and I'll know more.

LaLa- Thanks for the BWI info! I can't wait to hear the whole story of the Balcony saga- I know she must have been so upset when she didn't get one. It just sort of sets the tone of the vacation off wrong when you don't get what you really want in the beginning. I'm hoping things will go smoothly form here on out for her since she got moved.

Disney usually provide alot of magic upon check in... we have always been pleasantly surprised and our requests have been met! I think you do need to ask!

I didn't know she was planning on the mara for dinner at AKL, hope they weren't disappointed. We were when we stayed there...

Thanks for the update, Jo! I'm so happy to hear that they were able to switch rooms. A balcony is probably one of the main reasons to make the big jump to a deluxe.

I sure hope they are all feeling alot better now.

I really think the weather will get better by Wednesday. By better, I mean warmer. They are following our weather from the past several days. We are at 69 degrees now but our temps will jump to the upper 70's and low 80's by tomorrow. It has really been beautiful, but I definitely wouldn't be swimming! I know what she's talking about with the wind!
