Magicians & Jugglers & a Clown Slide, OH MY! We're going to the BWI... A Nov 2010 PTR

Shelly! You're killing me!!!! Posting pics of CBR when I'm in a huge *I miss Disney World* funk like this. Torture!!!!

Just had to note that the loaf of bread at Olivia's looked really yummy. I love a big ole warm crusty loaf of bread with a little butter. :cloud9:

Congrats to DS's team and their win!!!!! May they have many many more this season! :cheer2:

I was hoping this place would open before November and it looks like it has!

Karamell Kuche in Epcot
http://land.allears.net/blogs/allearsteam/2010/10/new_karamellkuche_in_epcots_ge.html

We will definitely be stopping there! :cloud9:
Where's the smiley that's drooling. We need one of those!!! I'm adding this place to my list for next trip.:thumbsup2 Although I think $5.95 for a caramel apple is a bit steep!

Sorry Kim! I miss CBR too! Is that where you will again stay next time?

That bread at Olivia's was so good. DS9 loved it. It was pineapple & coconut. But I couldn't taste the coconut at all. Thankfully!

Yes, Karamell Kuche looks very good, but very expensive.

I'm allergic to coconut (gives me migraines) so that bread doesn't look as yummy now. :sad2:

More than likely we'll be at CBR. We actually tossed around the idea of taking the camper and staying at FW but it wouldn't save us much money since towing it that far would cost a good bit in gas. And as much as I like camping I can't say I'd like roughing it at Disney. I don't want to cook on vacation or take a shower in our tiny shower or in a bathhouse. :snooty:

LOOK at all that caramel!! It's like my own piece of Heaven!! I too will be making a stop in there as those caramel and chocolate strawberries look absolutely DIVINE!!

Well, I haven't been able to catch up on everything I missed since I was gone - but I just wanted to let you know I'm back and enjoying reading!!! :thumbsup2

I agree with the DDP thing - I think it's smart that you pre paid for gift cards ahead of time. It will be just like doing the DDP without the pressure of having to make ADR's or having to order specific things.

We downgraded from the DxDP to DDP this trip and *still* felt like it was too much food. And we are eaters! So, next time we go - we will probably just pay for meals OOP and buy gift cards like you are doing. :goodvibes

mmm...Karamell Kuche looks fantastic!

I'm glad to hear Olivia's at OKW was good. We may end up staying there if the Mods are sold out for whenever we figure out we can go. I am really looking forward to the food courts at POR or CBR though, so I hope we can stay at one of the two.

Well then you don't want any of that bread! :scared: I didn't taste any coconut, but that's what they said was in it. It sure was good.

I don't blame you for not wanting to camp at WDW!

That's exactly what I think I will be getting there -- a chocolate & caramel covered strawberry! :cloud9:

Welcome back! Can't wait to hear all about your trip.

I think the gift cards will work out well for us. I hope so anyway! :wizard: I even called the non-Disney restaurants that we are going to and they said that they accept Disney gift cards.

Olivia's is great! :goodvibes I would definitely recommend OKW after CBR & POR over the other 2 mods. But yes, CBR & POR are our favorites and have awesome food courts!

The only thing I did not like about OKW was the choice of places to eat. We ate one breakfast at Olivia's and one lunch, the breakfast was better than the lunch IMO I had the banana bread french toast with whipped cream and it was out of this world, lunch I had a burger which was huge I gave half of it to DH everyone else had a Cuban Sandwich which they said was very good, the potatoe chips were home made, not to my likeing but the others loved them. The ice tea was house made, in fact the server who made it came out to ask if it was ok. We too had no ADR and even though it was spring break both time Olivera's was 3/4 empty best thing about eating there was my Ddil got a 50% discount there the only other place she got a discount that high was HDDR, most places was only 20%

We did Good's twice for dinner hot dogs, burgers fries and onion rings, the onion rings were excellent but as for the rest it was just average although was nice eating there near the marina. We did them once for breakfast , DS :littleangel: and Ddil brought the breakfast platters back to the room.

We ate at Sassagoula Floatworks the two years we stayed at POFQ but only for breakfast a few times, I wasn't impressed

CSR we enjoyed the breakfast offerings at the Pepper Market, especially the made to order omelets, but I did not care for having a gratuity added to the bill when all the server did was bring drinks to the table. We never tried them for lunch or dinner.

Sorry to hear your stay at CSR was less than special. When we stayed there everyone was on their best behavior all the CM's were helpful and friendly, in fact that was the year DS :littleangel: brought his freind with us and Mo kept remarking about how friendly and nice everyone was- We were there the First Day and Week that CSR opened , I think they were going out of their way for good reviews.

We just happened upon Olivia's for dinner and we were glad we did! :goodvibes The place was probably about 3/4 empty when we were there too!

I'm glad to hear that you had a better stay than we did at CSR!

Happy 25 days!!!!!! WOO HOO!!!!!!

Thanks Kim! :cool1:

ds and ddil have hit two fairs that i know of so far and then the other day he started about not having any spending money when we go, when you see me in disney i may not have a tongue left from biteing it so many times
:rotfl2:

TOO funny!

Well, I guess since I have now gone through just about every WDW restaurant I should tell you where we are eating on this trip! :goodvibes I think I have told you bits & pieces throughout all the food posts, but here are the plans!

We are not getting the DDP. It just isn't worth it for us since DS is considered an adult. Whoever it was at WDW that decided a 10 year should be an adult should have their head examined! But anyway, until he orders off of the adult menu the DDP is just not a good deal for us anymore. And it may not even be then.

And we saved much more by taking the 40% room discount than to take Free Dining.

I have purchased WDW gift cards to pay for our food. So it will be like it is prepaid, just like before when we got the DDP!

Being that we are not on the DDP we didn't go overboard on the ADR's. Hopefully that will give the vacation a more relaxed feel, not having to rush to ADR's everyday. But being that there are so many great WDW restaurants, we still made some!

Currently we have ADR's for:
Sci-Fi Dine In
San Angel Inn
Cape May Cafe (dinner)
Kona Cafe breakfast
T-Rex

We also have an ADR at Crystal Palace for breakfast, but are unsure of this one. Buffet's are not the best deal for us having to pay an adult price for a picky 11 year old. Plus we are thinking of just grabbing a quick breakfast/lunch at the Main Street Bakery instead.

We will also eat at Big River Grille. But no ADR is needed there.

As for CS, we are not certain. These are the ones we have in mind:
Starring Rolls at DHS
BWI Bakery
BWI Pizza Window
BWI To Go Cart
Main Street Bakery
Mara at AKL
Casey's Corner
Earl of Sandwich or Pollo Compero at DTD
Boulangerie Patisserie at Epcot
Another Epcot CS ?

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnng.
Where the heck have I been?:headache:

:lmao:
Sorry.
Friendship Flower....:flower3: Please Forgive me.............. I'm cute.:rotfl2:

Okay let's see- I'll make up for lost time.

The Numero Uno restaurant I'm worried about for you is SAI!!!!:rotfl2: I just have the feeling my phone is gonna be ringing off the hook sometime that night - you on the other end saying you guys hated it.

I'm skeered.:eek::lmao:

I think you should ditch CP. I wouldn't want to pay those prices for an adult there either. Still not sold one way or the other about the DDP. I jsut don't think it's a good deal anymore. Not for us, at least.

Wish we could get the gift cards here as well. It would make it easier. That's a good idea. And absolutely- you guys will be relaxed, not rushing everywhere to get to a place to eat. Good usin yo noggin.

It will be nice b/c you guys can just be waling along and decide to eat whenever. I like it.:thumbsup2

Soooooooooooo- now that we've talked about food, food and more food--- what shall we talk about next??popcorn::

WOOT WOOT!!! 25 Days!!!!! That is fantastic!!!!:cool1::banana::cool1:

Thanks Jen! :cool1:

I don't know where they heck you have been! :faint: But of course I forgive you!! :goodvibes:rotfl:

I think you are more worried about SAI for us than we are! :lmao: I think I will call and yell at you a little bit even if we liked it, just for fun!! :rotfl2:

I think we will most likely ditch CP. We can get just as good of a breakfast at Kona for less than half the price anyway!

Yes, now that we have talked WDW food for 2 weeks I'm not sure what's next! :rotfl: I'm sure we'll think of something. . .

24 Banana Dudes called and said they had a 24 day dance all lined up for you......

Wanna see it?????????????????????????????????????

:cool1:

Any one want to talk about shopping???!!! :cool1: Shopping and packing. I am doing a bit of both lately!

Just got out my little Disney jewelry that they boys have gotten me over the years. I only wear these to Disney! DS9 told me the other day that he wants to get me some more of the Mickey rings so I will have one to match every outfit! :goodvibes

Fall2009001-5.jpg

Also got the boys fanny-packs out and ready!

Fall2009010-1.jpg

And here is our pressed penny collection. I don't know if we will be getting anymore this trip or not. Probably only if we come across some that we don't think we already have! It's hard to remember though! :upsidedow

Fall2009010-2.jpg

We'll have to talk about clothes and shoes next!! :woohoo:

Here is a question for you ladies. . . How many pairs of shoes do you take to Disney???

I am trying to limit it to 5, but it's hard! :rotfl:
