:confused3

yay for 6 weeks!

So excited for you!!!!

Okay I have a question...
How do you get your DH to wear a Mickey shirt? Mark won't do it. :(
You guys look so cute next to Mickey.

And the hot air balloon.... oh my gosh oh my gosh. My heart flutters thinking about it. eeeeeeeeeek! You're so brave!

I can't wait to see pics of it- I do hope you do it.

LOVE the banana dude countdown!!:banana:

Well DH will wear the Disney shirts I buy him -- but only at Disney!! :upsidedow:laughing: Which is nice, they stay in nice shape and never fade. But at the same time it always seems like he always has on the same shirts in all our vacation pics! :rotfl:

I hope we can do the hot air balloon, I guess you can see all of downtown Orlando. Should be neat! :goodvibes

I love DTD, your pics are Great!

Will keep my fingers crossed for you and us that the winds don't keep the Charactors in Flight Balloon from flying, it is on our list of "to do's" also. Since it flys weather permitting until midnight I have high hopes.

DS wants to head to the Festival of Masters I haven't mentioned to him yet that I switched our days around and going to DTD in the afternoon, so he will not have as long there as at first planned, Festival of the Masters (9:30am-5:30pm) the day we are there, of course if they want to go off and do their own thing it is fine with me too.

Thanks Sheila! :)

I am keeping my fingers crossed too! :wizard: Last November we went to DTD twice. The first time DTD was very slow, but it was VERY windy from Tropical Storm Ida, so the balloon was closed for the day. And the second time we went to DTD was during the Festival of the Masters and DTD was packed and the line was HUGE!

I love DTD too!!! I loved the pictures of the boys enjoying DTD! Some of my most favorite stores!!!

YAY for being at 6 weeks WOOT WOOT!!!

We got the "No, Hot Air Balloon is closed right now" thing when we went too!! They said it was due to weather...not sure what it could have been..it was a sunny day, no clouds and not a lick of wind!!! We were really confused...I don't know...hopefully we can do it next time. I was sooooo disappointed...I had looked forward to that forever!!!!

Same here when we took the water launch to DTD March'09 from OKW the captain of the boat pointed the balloon out and told us about it and when it would be starting which was of course after we would be home.
Will keep my fingers crossed for you too Shawna

Sheila~ Hopefully we can ALL get on it this time!! What a disappoinment!!!! I think it's beautiful anyway...I love to just go see it!

That stinks! I wonder why it would be closed if it wasn't even windy?

Hmm. . . Sounds tempting!! :rotfl:

CBR is actually on the short list for 2011, but we are going to have to go during a week when they kids have a day or two off school. . . Not sure when that's going to be yet!

But you're such a petite little thing! How do you do it? That is one heck of a list! ;)

I counted maybe 6 or 7 that we've been to. I imagine you will be telling us more, but I was curious as to what your favorite restaurant was and if there are any that you won't return to?

OK, now that you've made me hungry, let me go see what I can scrounge up for breakfast!

I know, you would never tell by looking at us that we like to eat ALL THE TIME!!! :rotfl:

Hmm. . . great question!

Favorites would have to be:

Me - I would have went with LeCellier a year ago, but now will say Sci-Fi Dine In!
DH - Kona Cafe breakfast
Kids - Casey's Corner

Those we have no intention of going back to. . .

Whispering Canyon Cafe
Garden Grill
CSR Food Court
Cooke's of Dublin
ABC Commissary

Oh yum, food.
:)

You guys are too thin to be eating all the time. popcorn:: Thank the Lord for high metabolism.:goodvibes

I have been to many on your list-- Excluding of course the buffets--:rolleyes1
Of course, we know how you and I are on restaurants. If you like it, I won't.:lmao:
Well, 'cept Big River Grille.:goodvibes

That's okay--- we're still buds.

What do you like to get at Sci Fi? When we went on our honeymoon, many many eons ago- I ordered this hot dog there called the Moondoggie.
I don't even like or eat hotdogs. WTH was I doing ordering a hotdog, much less one named a Moondoggie?
The worst part was that it was so large it was.... obscene.:rolleyes1
Way to start off a marriage.

Yes, we will always have BRG. :rotfl:

Moondoggie? :rotfl2:

I had to go look at Sci-Fi's menu, I was pretty certain I'd never seen a Moondoggie on it!!

The first time we went to Sci-Fi it was for lunch. DH and I just got grilled chicken sandwiches and they were decent. We loved their milkshakes though! :lovestruc The best ever!!! So when we went back last year we went for dinner. DH got the Shrimp Pasta and loved it. And I got what is called the Beef and Blue Salad - "Sliced butcher-tender steak with a Wedge of Iceberg Lettuce with Blue Cheese Dressing, Tomatoes and Bacon". Except I made a few changes to it! No bacon and no blue cheese dressing. Added shredded cheddar, fries, and ranch dressing! It was so good. :cloud9: The steak was done just right and so tender. Plus the milkshakes were awesome again!

I know we haven't talked about airfare yet and are in the middle of a good food convo here, but did everyone see the news about the Southwest/AirTran "merger"? It seems to me it's less of a merger and more of Southwest swallowing AirTran. :sad2:

I got that email this morning and I'm not happy. I used to get great rates with SW from PIT to MCO. But not in the past several years. Ever since the other airlines started charging baggage fees, it seems that SW has jacked their rates so that they are able to say that they don't charge baggage fees. AT rates are much lower for us even after paying baggage fees, plus they offer better (and more) flight times. And as of right now SW and AT are the only ones that fly non-stop to MCO from here.

Well, it's pretty slow in here today! That figures, since I am here you are all busy. If I was at school you would all be running around in here with scissors. :rotfl:

I guess I'll go ahead and proceed since I have time today!

Let's start with MK food!

Places we have eaten:
Crystal Palace
Plaza Restaurant
Casey's Corner
Cosmic Rays
Pecos Bill

We have done both breakfast and dinner at Crystal Palace and loved them both! They always treat you so great there, the food is wonderful, the restaurant is very clean (especially for a buffet), and the character interaction is awesome! We have an ADR at CP for this trip, but I'm not sure we are going to keep it. . . We have done the buffets to death, plus the kids could care less about seeing Winnie the Pooh, and with DS charged as an adult it will be a very costly breakfast. So, we will just see how we feel about it when we are there!

DS turning 4!! Wow, this was 5 years ago – he turns 9 next weekend!

We had dinner once at the Plaza Restaurant. It was very good. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad either. I think we just had sandwiches and fries. I do remember the kids being thrilled with getting cookies and milk for dessert there!

All of my boys just love Casey's Corner and we will definitely be making a stop there this trip! I think it is just okay, but I don't really care for hot dogs. I do like their fries with cheese though! DH likes their hot dogs, and the kids love their mini corn-dogs and they think it's great getting Cracker Jacks there!

DisneyNovember20091104.jpg

We went to Cosmic Rays for dinner last November. I had heard so many things about this place and just had to try it. I have to say, I'm not a huge fan. :guilty: I guess I didn't care for how you had to get in separate lines for chicken, hamburgers, etc. I don't know why, that doesn't bother me at food courts. I guess I just wasn't expecting it there. Plus all the lines were HUGE and it was very crowded and loud. The food was average and we didn't hate the place, we just aren't in a hurry to get back anytime soon.

DisneyNovember2009695.jpg

DisneyNovember2009696.jpg

We went to Pecos Bill on our very first trip for lunch one day. I remember the food being okay, but I also remember it being so very crowded in there and flies were everywhere. There was nowhere to sit and we walked around with heavy trays of food looking for a table for what seemed like forever. It was just an unpleasant experience and we haven't been back. We should probably give it another try sometime. (Sorry, no pics!)

Okay, I guess that sums up our MK dining experience! Our plans for MK dining this time - We plan to only do CS at MK, unless we decide to keep the CP ADR. We will of course make one stop at Casey's Corner for the boys. I may get something from somewhere else for that meal, possibly Columbia Harbour House, not sure. And one place that we have never stepped foot inside and really want to is the Main Street Bakery! I think we are going to try to do an early lunch in there one morning.

And of course we need to talk about MK snacks!!

I know I will be getting a fabulous Pineapple Dole Whip Float from Aloha Isle! :cloud9: And we will probably end up getting ice cream from the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor sometime!
