I'm doing a split stay and just received both sets of magicbands. How do I know which set is for which resort? I went into MDE and I couldn't find the information.

You can use the same magic band for your whole stay, no need for the second set. Since the magic bands are linked to your MDE account it should open the door to any hotel room on your account, even if you switch mid-trip.

Oh! I didn't realize that they were interchangeable. Thank you!

Thats why you can actually declined bands and just reuse old ones or only get one set even if doing a split stay.

I didn't know they were interchangeable, and last time I did a split stay I forgot to put on my second MB on switch-over day. I remember the front desk CM at check-in said "No problem , I'll fix it" and she took my MB, did some magical Mickey Head to Mickey Head stuff, made the light spin green, probably waited for me to go "Oooooh!" then handed it back to me. All fixed! So Im went home with one extra, brand new, never used MB.

Bring both, as each is connected to each reservation for door access. The desk can fix it as PP

I tried to decline but didn't see that option. I think it's because I had selected colors already.

Now I'm confused... I need to bring both sets? Sorry.. It's my first DVC stay.

No, you don't need to bring both sets if you don't want to.

It's an oddity when a band doesn't just work and the front desk has to do something with it. I bring old bands all the time and while it often used to be the front desk needed to do something (usually at BWV or AKV for some reason) these days they just tend to work. If it's not opening the door though the front desk can fix it.

Yes to all of this.

If your band doesn't work it's a glitch. Go back to the front desk. But you don't have to expect a glitch. :)
