Magicband+ list of available bands in park?

We will be there for launch day of the magic bands and I'm wondering if there's a list posted somewhere showing which bands are available at which locations? Has anyone seen a list posted or images?

In checking shopDisney, they only have one-third of the bands pictured above (although they have almost 40 MagicBand+ styles). From my search today, only the following MagicBand+ from the picture are available online: Coco, Jack, Sally, Haunted Mansion, Spider-Man, Black Panther, and solid lilac.

Hopefully they will add more selections once they roll out to the general public (and more stores) on the 26th.

There's a Pride MB+ on shop Disney, if that's one you're looking for.

I think the other Pride bands I've seen are MB2

Yeah there are three different pride ones on there but we leave tomorrow for our trip. I wanted to grab one one the day one release.

Interesting. I have a WDW AP and a trip coming up there in January. When I go into my WDW account I am eligible to get some for my AP and upcoming trip. The list there is different than both shop Disney and the picture above so that was what I was looking at, and most of the ones in the picture were on the list I could choose from except for the DLR ones obviously. Then there were ones on shop Disney that weren't on the list I could access through my account. I just took another look and there are almost 50 there.

I tried to pick up a couple for my DLR trip next month but it wouldn't let me check out. The payment section just kept spinning. Oh well, guess we will just use our phones.

Hoping they release a Pluto one, he is my daughter's favorite.

I haven't used one at DL yet, but I'm familiar with them at WDW and have been keeping my eyes open on the whats and wherefores.

MB+ are interchangeable for WDW and DL. You don't need separate bands.
MB+ are reusable, just like prior versions are still usable at WDW.

Older MBs (MB/MB2) are NOT compatible with DLR's system.

MB+ does NOT open hotel doors at DL
MB+ does NOT have 'pay with your band' function
MB+ does NOT 'auto scan' your on-ride photos, you have to swipe the band
MB+ does NOT have 'MagicMobile' smartwatch capabilities

MB+ DOES scan you into the parks and LL/ILL lines
MB+ DOES interact with Photopass photogs
MB+ DOES do all the fancy schmancy lights during shows, interactive games, etc

Worth it, I think is subjective. Right now I don't think it's worth it for DL (for me). I'm not into shows, not into interactive games, don't use Photopass all that much so all it would do for me is scan me into lines. I don't like constantly getting my phone out either (butter fingers!), but they still give the little pasteboard cards and that's what I've always used to scan in. Much easier to keep in a pocket or to get it out of a 'packed to the gills' bag! I just make sure I take a picture of the front and back in case it gets lost or damaged.

We're going to WDW in the fall so I'll use my 'onsite' discount closer to that trip to buy an MB+ just in case they do some updating & to get the latest designs. Then I'll use it at DL. If I go to DL beforehand, I'll just do it the 'old fashioned' way.

Thanks for the information. I was afraid that was the case. I'm going to DL in June and don't know when I will go back again, so I will probably not purchase a magic band.

If you're a WDW 'regular', could buy an MB+ at DLR if you wanted to, or wanted a DLR specific design as a memento of your trip and then use it for your future WDW trips. They do work at both parks, it's just that DLR doesn't have RFID technology like WDW does, that's why the MB+ isn't 'fully functional' at DLR. But an MB+ purchased at DLR would be 'fully functional' at WDW.

I'm sure I've seen one or two on ShopDisney before. I think it may be a matter of checking frequently to see if any pop up. They certainly do have a dearth of designs overall, don't they?

I daresay a lot of DLR regulars and locals have never been to WDW so they don't have MBs or if they do they have MB/MB2 which are useless. WDW regulars can still use their old MBs at WDW so not everyone is buying MB+. But everyone going to DLR who wants one has to buy one, unless they've been to WDW since (IIRC) July.

So I'm sure they're selling like hotcakes in the Parks. Maybe they're stockpiling the DLR designs for 'in Park' sales.
