Magical Tour of Paris (Cityrama)

Dont think they were dated - I asked for them for the next day.

Report on Paris visit now posted - part 3a of trip report - Yeeha - A fistful of Euros

Is this the same Hop-on-Hop-off bus that has four routes around Paris? I have used that twice and it was great. They stop at all the major sites and thaey have four routes that meet at certain sites. It wasn't expensive and was very good for first time visitors.

Yes, this is them. L'Open Tour. We were so excited that the front seats at the top of the bus were empty that we ran up the stairs without checking which route it was taking! :rotfl:

Thanks for that link Elaine, am I reading this right? You buy the day pass and can go on as many of those four routes as you wish? I assumed you would have to pick one.

Sounds like a bargain, where is the best place to pick it up, and buy tickets? I see you can book on-line, would this be a better option?

Yes, that's right, you can get on and off the bus as many times as you like, on all four routes. :thumbsup2

It is very easy to find. Take the RER to Auber station, as you exit the L'Opentour office is across the road and just a little way down on the right. We didn't bother buying the tickets in advance as we didn't know which day we wanted to go to Paris so just bought them in the office. There were a couple of ladies working in there, who were very friendly and helpful, and we only had to wait a couple of minutes to be served. Even if you bought your tickets online in advance I would think you would still have to go into the office to collect your headphones :confused3 unless maybe the bus driver carries a supply.

We thought the prices were very good value ~ at first we were going to get the 2 day tickets and go into Paris a second time but the lady who served us pointed out that they were for consecutive days which wasn't really what we wanted.

I expected the commentary to be a bit boring :faint: but actually it was rather good. :thumbsup2
