Magical Moments Light-up Pins, do they still work?

After just moving, we unpacked some unopened Magical Moments light-up pins from the 100 years of magic celebration. I'm wondering if WDW left the activators in the attractions, and if they sitll work. Anybody know?

That is so weird that you just found one 'cause I was cleaning out some spare dresser drawers this weekend and found some also. We are downsizing next year and I was so bored this weekend that I started gathering up stuff for our spring yard sale. I was wondering if they would still activate also.
