Magical Moment at Typhoon Lagoon

We went to TL on Sat. Aug 20th. We got there about 20 minutes before opening. As we were waiting, a CM asked my DD if she would like to be the " Big Kahuna" for the day. She was asked to open the park and we were let in about 15 minutes before opening. She was given a medal and we had a private tour of the park. We got our own spot on the beach right in front of the wave pool which was roped off. She was asked to use her medal to start the waves.
We were also given towels and a locker key and a refillable mug, and were told we can show her medal at the mini donut stand for 2 dozen free donuts.
It made for a very magical day, and was one of the highlights of our trip.

Yes, they do it every day. The CM who showed us around said it was the best part of her job. All the CM's really play it up and made my DD feel so special.

That's why I love Disney! We've never had an "official" Magical Moment, but it always makes me smile when you see someone getting special treatment. I'm sure your DD will be talking about that for a while!
