We are staying at AKL and would like to make a dinner reservation at Boma. How much time should I allow between a 7 PM arrival at Orlando Airport, transportation by Magical Express and a reservation for Boma at AKL?

Thanks for any assistance!

Most people here will say pick another day.

How late is Boma open and how late are you willing to eat?

Even with everything going perfectly its going to tight for maybe a 9:00PM dinner or a late night.

Agreed. While DME frequently gets you to your resort in 60-70 minutes from when you get off of the plane, it can take up to 90 minutes under normal conditions. After arrival it easily can take 30 minutes or so to complete the check-in process and get to your room. So, as chartle notes, a 9:00 p.m. ADR at Boma could be cutting it close under even normal conditions. If you add to that the potential for flight delays or other problems, you're looking at a very late dinner (assuming Boma even is open that late).

Just checked Boma closes at 9:30, even if you could get there would you want to eat at a buffet as is was closing?

Considering the average time for DME is 70 minutes, that would get you at your resort about 8:10pm (all things else being on time). That is the AVERAGE, which means there are situations where it can take longer. This would also mean that your flight would have to be on time.

Honestly, I would not even try to do it. Not worth the stress.

I would plan on eating at The Mara which is the CS at AKL. It's open until midnight and the food is good. It especially like the grilled vegetable flatbread.

My d had a 7 PM arrival at MCO; I had arrived earlier & had already checked in. We made a 9:15 reservation at Jiko. They sat me at 9:20, and she walked in at 9:35, dropping her carryon with bell services.

I wouldn't risk it.

We did this on our last trip. I wouldn't do it again and not just because I didn't like Boma lol. It was just too rushed worrying about getting to the reservation on time. I wish we had grabbed mara and gone to bed early.

I agree with the others, pick another night and hit mara.
