We are arriving the day before our Disney vacation starts because it was cheaper to fly and pay for a hotel next to the airport, we don't get in until later in the day so we decided to stay near the airport that night. My question is if we are staying at a hotel by the airport, and can get back to the airport in the morning, can we use ME? I am being told by the person I am renting DVC points from that it isn't possible and it is only for people flying into MCO. TIA! Let me know if I didn't explain that good enough, and what I should tell the person I am renting from so she know exactly what to tell DME when she calls.

You absolutely can do it. I have personally done it.

Here is what you do. Give Disney a flight arriving in the morning of your check in day.

Don't put on the yellow tags when you fly and simply pick up your baggage and take it to the airport hotel with you. When you return to MCO the next morning, take your bags with you and they will go under the bus.

Many MCO airport hotels offer a free shuttle. Our shuttle driver dropped us off right at ME, so all we had to do was walk in and check in.

Doesn't matter how you get to the airport you can use DME for one r/t per person anytime during your stay, you do have to have advance reservations however. So while you can't use it the day before - on check in day you can use DME.

Usually if you call DME directly they can book it for you even without a flight. Alternately you can choose a flight that arrives at MCO around the time you want transportation and book DME using that flight.

I have done it as well. We stayed at the MCO Hyatt the night before. Got on the bus the next morning and they brought us over. It is not a problem and is done all the time.
