Magical Express or Virgin Transfers

For those who have booked with VH do you use ME or Virgin transfers.

We normally book with Disney and fly VA. This time we have booked a package with VH as we got a reasonable deal at OKW.

Booking with Virgin means you would have their transport.

we booked with Virgin and used their transfers. From the Airport we had a Virgin coach. on the return journey Magical Express turned up to pick us up. Guessing Virgin must use them from time to time.

I book with Virgin, specify that I'll make my own way from / to the airport, then book ME separately

I like the ME buses, it really feels like Disney starts from the airport that way.

Nothing wrong with the Virgin transport though, I think both Virgin and ME actually use Mears, a well respected company.

do you have to book the virgin transfer separately or is that included once you have booked your package? it doesn't say either way on our invoice

I believe its already sorted out and you just find the virgin reps at MCO.

Last couple of years we have been to SSR and used ME and we have always been the first drop off.

I dont know whether Virgin do the same or will they drop off in Lake Buena Vista area and other non Disney hotels first.

I like the idea of telling them we are making our own way and booking ME direct with Disney.

Virgin sometimes drop off at 7 or 8 resorts before going onto WDW. We therefore book DME as usually you are no more than three resorts down the list.

I'm using ME gets us in the Disney spirit from the beginning! I'm just going to tell the reps at mco that I will not be using the virgin shuttle.

I booked VH online, and there was a box to tick whether you wanted the hire car / transfers / make your own arrangements.

I don't know what it says on my invoice as that's not to hand just now, but I definitely ticked the 'own arrangements' on the online form.

I'll book ME online closer to the time we're going. 11 months out at the moment, think that's a tad early!

I always just email the rep when they email me to let them know or when the Orlando rep phones tell them then. Had an issue one year as we didn't let them know before we landed and we didn't see a Virgin rep when we arrived. Got the magical express and had a snotty phone call from Virgin in the middle of the night to complain that we hadn't let them know. Easier this way.

In the past When I used VH I hv used both but I hv to say I much preferred ME. Its free and you go direct to WDW hotels . My mind was made up when we were piled onto a minibus and it took 80 mins to get to pop centuary. I think it just starts the holiday off.
