Hi All,

OH and I are staying at Disney (Wilderness Lodge) for the first time in May next year and are flying out with Virgin. We are not sure if it is best to use Virgins own transfers or book the Magical Express? When we've been before and stayed on I-Drive Virgin have always used Mears and the ME looked quite appealing! What is the general consensus - or are they much the same?

I know we'd need to book it with Disney - but if we do go with the ME is there anything else we need to know or do?

Thanks,
Fi xx

We did Virgin transfers a while ago ( about 12 yrs ago) and they were fine. We did ME last year, again no problems. I couldn't say which would be quicker, it all depends on the day really who else is on the bus and how many stops they make and what order etc. but I don't think there's any way of knowing beforehand apart from ME will definitely only do 3-4 hotels max. I think I'd probably opt for ME if only for the video on the coach as it's a nice intro, especially if travelling with children. :thumbsup2

I also like the Magical Express, I can't comment on the Virgin transfers as we've never used them, for us ME has always been faultless and the holiday does seem to start just that little bit sooner!

I think the only other thing with ME is collect your own luggage and put it under the bus, Disney will take your luggage for you and deliver to your resort but it can sometimes take a couple of hours.

I'd do ME as well.

If you decided to do this keep your luggage with you after you've gone through customs as ME is on B side and if you land with VA your luggage will go to A side if you put it back on the belt....

I prefer ME. That said, the one time we did use the Virgin mears transfers, we had missed the mini bus so they got us our own cab :)

Never done me but parents had a bad experience with virgin. Car never turned up then dropped them at the yacht club not the beach club

Magical Express definitely. Used it for the first time last year. It was organised, quick and fun :-)

We loved ME and would do it again, we only had one other hotel and then us. We also saved money as ME is free and our virgin transfers weren't
