Magical Express or pick-up from airport

We are going to Disneyworld in April and my mother-in-law is meeting us there. We're flying into Sanford and will have a rental car. She is flying into Orlando International. We had planned to have her use Magical Express, but I'm getting worried now that I'm reading about the problems some people are having. Would it be better to pick her up from the airport instead? Does anyone know how long it would take or how complicated it would be? I don't know much about the airport layout, the traffic, etc.. Any suggestions would be appreciated!

We've used the Magical Express quite a few times and never had a problem with them. When we have rented a car we have gotten lost a couple times within the airport...it's not hard to circle around, but it's annoying. I love the Magical Express...we are using it on our trip next week and again this summer. No problems here...

We LOVED Magical Express when we used it last September....no problems at all. It's very easy to use!

We've used ME 3x now, and have had no problems (except for long lines waiting for the bus on the last trip during FD).

Since you already will have a car yourselves, you could easily pick her up. MCO is not a difficult airport to pick people up at - but I would think it kind of depends on your individual arrival times. If you are going to be to the Orlando area a couple of hours or more before her - you might want to just go straight to WDW and have her do ME - same holds true if she'll be there considerably before you all. No sense in someone waiting around the airport bored when there are much nicer ways to pass the time in a resort lobby...or even in a resort room if check-in is possible.

We haven't used ME ourselves, but on our last trip, we drove and my parents flew. They used Magical Express both to and from the airport and they thought it was great. Actually, they ended up getting a "Dream" when they arrived - they got a limo ride to the hotel instead of riding the bus!

They still thought it was really convenient and said if they ever come meet us again, they will do the exact same thing.

I have used DME 5 times over the past three years and had good experiences. I would use them again, in fact some of my quickest trips from MCO to the WDW Resorts have been on DME primarily because I didn't have to wait for the checked bags.

I also haven't read about any real issues lately except for the folks who took a survey at the resort causing them to miss the bus.

I've used ME 8 times and never had a problem. LOVE it! I bet she will to-it is great not to worry about your checked bags!

Problems with ME are extremely rare. I wouldn't worry about it.
