Can't. Magical Express has one obligation, to be there (or furnish a surrogate).
Adding to the sadness of leaving Disney, guests caught up in the bus and plane rush can feel like refugees.
Hmmm. New idea. A rack with surgical face masks for ill persons to wear while on buses or on rides. I have seen such a rack at the door in some hospitals. Is there still a rack with air sickness bags at the boarding area in Mission Space?
Who remembers (or is old enough to remember) those news clips where Vietnamese folks were swarming and climbing on the last departing U.S. war helicopters and army convoys in a desperate quest to flee their country and become illegal aliens in ours?[/QUOTE]
Have to ask...what the heck does the bolded part of your post have to do with anything?? Not even remotely Disney related.
Also....DME has no obligation to transport a guest(s) who have missed their assigned bus. The bus driver in question here, who took on a large family, with sick members, that had missed their bus due to their own lack of information/knowledge, is in the wrong. He should have boarded those who were assigned to his bus first. Then, if there was any remaining room, he could have boarded those who had missed their bus. A driver should never, ever bump a guest who is there, ontime, for a guest who has arrived late for their bus and missed it. Period.
