Magical Express- No luggage tags

Ok, i DO have an ME reservation, as of today, as I had to change outta the towncar. (Ran outta $$$!)
However, since it's 8 days out, we may not get the tags in time. Supposedly that's "fine", we can either

1)Show up at the ME counter with our baggage tags & they'll take care of it.

or

2)Go get our luggage ourselves.


Any thoughts? Anyone ever done this?

This is one of those been asked a million times type questions, you could try a search and see what you come up with, but here are my thoughts:

Show up with your baggage claim tickets, show them to DME and they'll take care of it. It would also be VERY helpful if you had a good description of your bags, and something that might make them stand out in a crowd. I'm slightly travel induced OCD, so I even took digital pics of my bags, just in case.

Get your luggage yourselves, but that will cost you some time.

Either option will work.
