Magical Express if You Don't fly Delta? & other air ?'s

Can you take ME if you don't arrive on a Delta Flight? I assume you just get your own bags and go to the ME desk to board?

Has anyone ever split there airline flying one thing down and something else back? I found Allegiant air for $59 but they don't fly on the day we are heading home...so I would need to take something else back. Any thoughts on that?

Everyone can take ME on their arrival into Orlando. You sign up for ME and you don't need to see your luggage until you arrive at the resort. You don't have to handle it yourself.

I suggest reading some of the threads here on transportation about how DME works.

Keep in mind that Allegiant flies into Sanford, which does not offer ME.

I agree with safteymom, read the thread that is stuck to the top of this board. Anyone can take ME. Read and educate yourself, that way you won't have any surprises.

I just booked some friends on two different airlines as it worked for their fligth times. They are flying Airtran down and Sun Country back. No problem with ME.

Again, keep in mind that you cannot use ME if you use Allegiant into Sanford. You will have to rent a car or contract a service to get you to WDW.

after I wrote that that there was a thread about ME. I guess my husband and I were under the assumption that with the bags you had to be on a Delta flight....we flew Delta last year that's probably why....nice to know it's any airline we were very happy not to have to retrieve the bags with 3 kids in tow.

Magical Express works the same way for all flights into Orlando International. You have your choice of getting your baggage yourself (do not use the yellow tags) or having ME deliver the baggage (with or without yellow tags).

Magical Express works the same way for all airlines' (Orlando International) flights home before 8 AM and works that same way for all flights home if you choose not to or cannot check baggage at the resort.

Northwest has joined the selected airlines, that is, "participating" airlines, that let you check baggage at the resort (homebound flights leaving after 8 AM).

Some resorts require up to 45 minutes advance notice for the bellhop to retrieve any baggage you stored between room check out and ME departure.
