Where do I find the schedule for Magical Express? We are doing a Florida vacation and we are flying in and out of MCO. Our flight out is at 6:30 AM. Although we aren't doing WDW the whole trip, we thought we would stay DVC on the last night and use Magical Express. We want to return our car the day before, take ME to a DVC resort, do Downtown Disney that evening, get a bit of rest and then take ME back to the airport and leave on our 6:30 AM flight. Can we take ME if we aren't flying in that day and can we get ME to the airport that early in the morning?

Yes, you can take ME if you aren't flying in that day...I did this in January. We took a late flight into MCO and stayed the night at the Hyatt at the airport, then took ME in the morning.

Shouldn't be a problem to do it with the rental car as well..Every Disney guest is entitled to a roundtrip ME ride. It doesn't matter how you get to the airport!

Thanks-I think. I mean thanks for the information but 3:30??? :scared: I'm sure it's the proper time to get to the airport in time but I never realized it would be THAT early! The only thing I can say on my behalf is--the flight was REALLY CHEAP! 4 of us are flying this time for the cost of 2 of us in March. That's worth losing a few hour of sleep, I guess.

We had an early flight in 2007....NEVER AGAIN! The sound of bell services knocking in the middle of the night is enough to make me cringe just thinking about it!!! :rotfl:

Good luck with your 3:30am check out. Flight would have to be free for me to even consider it, and even then I would reject it after about 5 seconds of considering. Just thinking about getting up at 3:30am would pretty much ruin the night before as well.

You guys are right. I'm crazy. It seemed like a good idea at the time I booked it. I mean, I'm up at 6 AM all the time. I just didn't quite do the math to figure out the 3:30 AM part. Live and learn. I'm guessing the 20-somethings going with us will stay up and then sleep on the plane. DH and I will be going to bed the minute the last firework explodes over MK. (We're hoping for BLT. Wish us luck!)

Rather than stay at DVC just that one night (or part of the night actually) I would recommend staying at the Hyatt at the Orlando airport. At least you will be able to get some sleep..

Umm...That's not "getting up at 3:30am". That's getting on the bus at 3:30am. Ouch. I second the idea of staying at the Airport Hyatt. Not gonna be a whole lot of fun late night on your last night if you are worried about waking up at 2:30 or so. I'd rather cut my night a little short and head on to the airport.

But then again, for me and my wife, Early Entry starts at 10 :)

If you had a 6:30 flight goint TO Disney, you'd have to be out the door by 3:30 too (not just alarm clock at 3:30) unless you live reasonably close to your home airport.

Actually I don't like early morning flights, even though I can plan to do alarm clock to waiting limo in ten minutes.

You can do what you want but why?

My first suggestion is to change your return flight.

My second suggestion would be to get an airport hotel. After you night at DTD drive to the airport, return you car and grab a few hours of sleep.

Assuming you have your heart set on staying at DVCE my third suggestion would be see if you could return you car at a WDW location. Alamo/Disney is on Disney property. Many of the other agencies have a desk in a hotel near Disney. My guess is you'll waste at least 2 hours with your detour to MCO.

I don't know how old you are. I wouldn't do this but my last suggestion is skip the hotel room. Go to DTD. Stay until last call. Find a 24 hour restaurant and have an early breakfast. Go to MCO, return your rental car and wait for your flight.

The best solution is to change your return flight.

I am not sure that this fine distinction you've drawn matters so much in the grand scheme of this discussion.:thumbsup2 Like for you, 3am, 3:30am, 4am....all the way through 10am is pretty much out for me. ;)

Isn't it more like being checked out and getting to the curb by 3:15!:scared1:
