Magical Express and pickups

You can definitely do that - in fact, plenty of people do that because they either don't trust the delivery system to work, they don't want to wait for their luggage, or because they arrive after 10 pm, when luggage delivery is no longer available.
So if you plan to physically carry them on to the bus, I suppose you won't need the tags, correct?

... won't need ...

If you plan on carrying your bags to the Magical Express bus (having gone to the carousels to get them) you must not use the yellow tags. Exception: For arrivals after 10 PM all bags, yellow tagged or not, must be claimed at the airport.

For foreigners, if you have to clear or reclear customs in Orlando it is a normal procedure to put them on the other conveyor belt at the customs station and then leave. This is no different from clearing customs at a connecting city.

Some folks will just walk off with their bags after clearing customs in Orlando.

Once in awhile there is an irregularity whereby customs agents may require that you leave the bags behind on the other belt or may require that you take your bags the rest of the way to the main terminal, DME, etc.
