We purchased our flight through JetBlue back in May. They recently started charging luggage fees for all flights booked after June 30. When we are set to leave our resort and do resort airline check in for our flight, how is Disney to know not to charge us? Will this pop on their system? Or will I have to pay fees and fight JetBlue for a refund? Anyone have a clue on this one?

There shouldn't be an issue. I have flights booked for Jan, booked a month or so ago. I'm not concerned. If a fee is to be paid, it will come up in the system.

Thanks. I understand the policy from the JetBlue side. My question is how is the Disney check in to know when I bought the tickets.

They access the airline's reservation system, just like an agent at the airport. For example, they knew that I had a Delta gold card and get 1 free bag because it's in Delta's system. That's why there are only certain airlines that are participating for baggage check, they have to have access to their system.

So JetBlue just sent me a notification. Our fared are considered the blue plus which comes with 1 free bag each.
