I am planning a trip for me entire family next Feb. Husband and I sister and family (2 children under 3), parents and grandparents and family friends. In all there are 12 of us. I was looking for suggestions for fun together day activities. We are doing a dinner for fantasmic and at Ohans as well as a lagoon fireworks cruise. But I was wondering about ideas for the day that aren't on the magic gathering plan. Almost all of these are $60 a person. This seems a bit high for things that you already pay for like the safari....etc...

Fort Wilderness is a good place to spend some time but not alot of money!

FW has a petting zoo just south of Pioneer Hall. You can take boat or bus to Fort Wilderness. Cost is free to Walt Disney World resort guests. Great place for kids.

Fort Wilderness has a campfire and sing-a-long every night of the week. A Disney classic movie follows the sing-along. Chip and Dale usually make an appearance. The Fort Wilderness staff provides a campfire; bring your marshmallows, hot dogs and sticks if you have them. If not, marshmallows and sticks are available for purchase. Cost is free to Walt Disney World resort guests. Great evening for kids.

There's also a hayride on some evenings. The price is around $6/adult and $4/child It leaves the Pioneer Hall and travels through the pine forest and along the beach. Reservations are not taken. It's first come, first serve. If you time it right you can see the Electrical Water Pageant Parade while on the hayride.

This show can be seen from the Fort Wilderness Beach, from the Wilderness Lodge boat dock and beach, behind the Contemporary Resort, from the Polynesian Resort Beach, and from the Grand Floridian Beach. The show lasts about ten minutes. A chain of parade floats will entertain you with lights and music from the water. Show time varies slightly from resort to resort (anywhere from 9:30 PM to 10:30 PM).

How about just a day at your resort pool? You can all sit around, swim, talk & just enjoy spending some time together. :D
