I'll be going to Orlando next week and had a couple of questions about the Magic of Disney stores at Orlando Airport:
  • Do they do pin trading in the stores? Basically, should I keep a few traders in my bag?
  • For the Chase Disney Visa discount, do they require a $50 minimum spend? Disney Stores got rid of the $50 minimum a while ago but the parks still enforce this rule.
  • Are the stores landside where you check in or airside after security?
Also, does anyone know if right now, it's possible to access gates 1-9 (Concourse 1) and gates 40-49 (Concourse 3) without going through security a second time?

Magic of Disney is a retail store in Orlando International Airport (MCO) located in the main terminal, in the east hall, just outside the security checkpoint for gates 70-129. It’s one of two Magic of Disney stores in the airport, the other being near the security checkpoint for gates 1-59.

As far as the gates...

No pin trading at the stores, they will sell you some pins, but not trade as far as I'm aware.
No idea about the Chase card.
All three stores are landside, there are two in the main terminal and one in the south terminal.

Yes you can go between Airside 1 and Airside 3 without going through security again. You take the tram from the pod back to the terminal, then walk over to the other tram to get out to the other pod.

A common reason to go between airside pods is to access a club lounge. Posters in other forums have, occasionally, been required to go through security

Thanks for the information. Looks like I'm not packing pins and can plan for going between the two concourses.

I have traded pins at the store with some of the cast members working there.
