Magic Kingdom wait times..

Looking for Magic Kingdom wait times. We are taking another resort only trip in July staying at AKL. With the mask mandates beginning to be lifted I am feeling more confident there may be HEA fireworks in July and that is when I will return to a park. A park ticket for myself and my daughter for one day is $260 dollars. My thought is will the wait times be crazy without the fast pass? We hope to ride the People Mover, Dumbo, The Little Mermaid, Winnie the Pooh, Haunted Mansion and Pirate's of the Caribbean. It will be hot and 25 minutes is my max. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

In February we waited more then 25 minutes for Haunted Mansion and Pirates. Pirates was close to 45 minutes around 10am.

Thoughts - it's going to be crazy without FP. Capacity was both increased and to be increasing more for Summer. Let's say the wait times are accurate, Pirates is 40 minutes now and it's a slower time than July even without considering the increases.

You can download the MDE app and check wait times at will.. I've been looking at specific days/parks/times when planning my upcoming trip.. you can also get the lines app and see the "posted" vs. "actual" (crowd sourced) wait times. It's helpful to me to see the data/trends myself rather than rely on just reports here on the boards. Good Luck!

The Lines app is great, I use it almost exclusively when I’m in the parks and the expected wait times are generally pretty accurate.

Personally, I like it better. But it only works if there are enough people posting live wait times to the app. Otherwise, no better than MDE.

I used to use it *before* MDE and there was only the ride board. I was one of the people who helped crowd source the wait times.

We are looking at the same thing for our July\August trip. Wait time seem to be growing rapidly. Really don't understand why they don't bring back FP. I mean, the system is already there, just turn it back on.

They said in the earning call that they are looking into the systems. So prolly payed fp or another system all together. They just need to open all the shows and shops/restaurants.

It seems like those rides are all doable under 25 minutes with the exception of Pirates. It also depends on what time you go...rope drop or end of day seem to have the lowest wait times. But I think this summer pretty much anything from 11-4 will be long lines...I really want FP back

Can't wait to pay premium for packaged FPs for rides I don't want to get the ones I do! ....... No, seriously, I can't wait. Please hurry up and bring back FP no matter how you have to do it, Disney.

Without enough staff, I'm not sure adding FP will change wait times much. You'll just have more people backed up in the FP line instead of standby.

Do you find it better than the MDE app?

I do, even though the data is probably not as accurate as it has been in the past since COVID, I still feel like it provides more accurate estimates than MDE. Even if the “expected wait” time seems off, you can always click on the attraction to see how long other Lines users waited. For example, one day a ride said it was 75 posted, expected was like 37. I clicked on it and saw that 30 minutes prior, someone waited 44 minutes, so figured between 40-50 was probably the most likely wait time, and it was right around 40 minutes.
