i was thinking of taking the magic kingdom tour when i go to wdw next summer and i was wondering how much does it cost per person and was it an enjoyable thing or should i not waste my time. i have seen it on the travel channel and it seems pretty interesting. any comments about it is also helpful.

thanks Tigger :earsboy:

There are a few different tours that go through MK. You can read about them all here. I've been on the Keys to the Kingdom tour twice and have loved it both times. It's about 5 hours long, costs $58 and includes lunch and a pin. On it you get to ride 2-3 rides and go into the Utilidors (tunnels underneath MK) as well as into some backstage areas.

What part of the tunnels do you see? Like what area? Do you get to see characters or what do you see?

DH and I wanted to do it, but we had the kids! Next time for sure! :cloud9:

i highly suggest the keys to the kingdom tour! it was about 4 and a half hours and you pay about $60 a person and you get lunch and a pin and on some rides infront of lines. you also get to go "underneath" MK into their tunnels, but just make sure no one under 16 is going with you, they won't allow them on the tour.

I recommend the Backstage Magic Tour

With this tour you get to see behind Epcot, MGM and MK

$199.00 per person, 7 hours, no children under 16, lunch at Mama Melrose's

When I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour a few months ago, we saw all the characters from Country Bear, coming out to interact with the guests, behind the scenes, back where they keep the floats. Once you get offstage, the characters do remove their heads, so it's not a tour for impressionable children.

The utilidors (there are no tunnels at the MK, as street level is actually the second floor) look like the basement level of any large building. However, they did show us a map of how far they go and we got to see an area that was textured like a couple of the streets above, to help the dancers train.

We picked the Backstage Magic Tour also--with this one you don't waste a day pass. No park ticket is required. That makes up a lot of the price difference.
Everyone who has taken one has recommeded taking a tour. We can't wait!!
