We are planning our trip for President’s Week and touringplans crowd calendar shows MK as 8, with EP 9 & AK 10 (we are not going to HS this trip). Everything I am reading says to avoid MK on Monday’s so now I am wondering how accurate the crowd calendar is and if I should switch my scheduled park days?

Current plan:
2/15 & 2/16 Universal & IOA
2/17 Sleep In then explore Fort Wilderness
2/18 Rest/Pool day
2/19 MK 8:20AM BOG
2/20 Rest/Pool
2/21 AK
2/22 Sleep in - 11:00 Bon Voyage -EP
2/23 MK 6:05pm BOG

Leave as is, or switch things up??

That’s always a pretty busy week, but thankfully, it does not overlap with Mardi Gras this year. THAT is the WORST.

I tend to subscribe to the 'don't go to MK on a Monday' theory, in most circumstances. If this were me trying to plan that week, I'd probably try to do MK on Tuesday vs Monday if possible. But you're just talking 'shades of grey' differences here, nothing fundamentally different if the schedule doesn't allow you to move dates.

Also side note, I think MK had a regular 9AM opening on Monday/President's Day this year, but just watch the hours when it gets closer in case they move it to 8AM - making your PPO ADR no longer PPO.

We did President's Week last year. We noticed the parks got a lot quieter on Tues-Thurs as opposed to Sat - Monday (holiday weekend). Honestly... why would you deliberately go to any park ON the holiday then have a rest day the day after? If you really have to have a pool/rest day (and in Feb, that can be dicey. Notice that we're all wearing long-sleeves & sweatshirts in my picture. It was not pool weather every day of the week.), make it Monday then get up early and rope-drop MK on Tuesday morning. Same thing for the 22nd. I'd rope-drop Epcot then go to Bon Voyage from EP. If you're using Disney transportation, you're going to have a bit of a hassle to get to Bon Voyage - you'll have to go through EP anyway, might as well start there.

Revision 1:
2/15 & 2/16 UNV/IOA
2/17 Resort
2/18 AK
2/19 Resort
2/20 MK
2/21 EP-Bon Voyage @ 10:35
2/22 MK
2/23 Resort Morning then MK for BOG 6:05

This will mean sacrificing PPO ADR for BOG on Monday. Thoughts??

We'll be there the same week, though we only have two park days. We're doing MK on Tues 2/19 and AK on Wed 2/20. I knew it would be busy, but I tried to put our park days right in the middle of the holiday weekend and the marathon later in the week.

TP has MK listed as a 9 on 2/19 and AK as a 6 the next day. This is my first ever trip to WDW, so I am holding out hope that it's not so horrid that nothing can be accomplished. I know what a 9 at DLR looks like--not so much for WDW. We did book EMM for our MK day, so between that and essentially being there for rope drop, I am hoping we can get a good amount of things done.

We’re you going to BOG strictly for the PPO? If eating there wasn’t the primary concern, I think you’re better off switching. You can keep an eye out too for something to open up on Tuesday. I would definitely take a rest day Monday. I suspect Sunday will be busier than most Sundays too.

Yes, BOG was strictly for the PPO. Hoping to get lucky and get something for one of our other MK dates!
