When we were at WDW recently I noticed some DVD's for each park...I think they come in one set or you can buy them separately as well. They were $20 each and I didn't buy any because I wasn't really sure we would watch them. Now we're home, the boys are asking to see "mickey mouse" every day---meaning they want to watch our vacation videos. I'm wondering if they might like the Magic Kingdom park dvd I saw...

Does anyone know the dvd I'm talking about & if so, did you buy it? Was it worth the cost? I have a friend going in a week and I could get her to pick up a copy for me...

Hi, we bought the MK version in May when we went. Honestly, (and just my opinoin) it is stupid. I expected to really enjoy it, but it was boring. I really like the free vacation planning videos Disney sends you better! ;)

The whole thing is maybe 20 minutes long, Mickey and Minnie go on some rides - not many - and there isn't much else to it. We have watched it ONCE and that was enough. My kids prefer the free planning DVD, too!!! It shows more and is more exciting to watch.

Take it for what it's worth. I was like you and need my Disney fix between trips, but this MK DVD doesn't do it for me.

One DVD I LOVE is the "Walt Disney, the Man Behind the Myth". Your kids won't like it as it is a documentary - but so awesome!!!

OK, I wanted to make sure I knew where it was - but if you want to PM me your address, I will mail our MK DVD out to you. We really don't watch it and if you think your boys will like it - it's yours! :) People on this DIS family board have been so nice to me, I would like to spread it around. :goodvibes

That just exemplifies what I like so much about the Disney folks! That's really nice! :disrocks:

We have that whole series of Sing Along Songs. We had the VHS version when my son was young in the 90s and now that they released it in DVD it is perfect for my toddler! There is one for Disneyland (very similar to MK), Animal Kingdom (Flik's), the water parks (beach party), and one for Fort Wilderness Campground.

Lives4Disney-Thank you so much for your offer---very generous and kind---so "Disney"! :) :cloud9: I really appreciate your opinion. It's exactly what I was thinking it was when I didn't buy the dvd in the 1st place. I've got the free promo one, so I'll see how they like that and I just got the "sing along songs Disneyland" dvd as well. That should provide enough WDW for the boys until we go back next FEB!

The Old SIng Alongs have the characters and the one from the Parks is actually shot in Disneyland - but you really can't tell the difference. I have found it at Toys R Us on DVD for $15.98. If they want to see Mickey and the Gang I would pick that up - should quench there Mickey wants!!

I've got the Magic Kingdom DVD, and I actually like it. It has a bunch of extras discussing the building of Magic Kingdom and some other background stories. Plus you can take a carriage ride down main street, a train ride around the park, or a boat ride and choose your camera view.

My kids like it, and it is fun to see all the locations to remind you of your own vacation there.

That video is kind of funny as it appears that Roger Rabbit was the most popular Disney character at the time. Do you even see Roger Rabbit at the parks anymore?

hahaha - I agree - even my hubby who isn't a "Disney" person was like "why is he there??" Brings back memories for me!! :rotfl:

Funny, was just looking through photos from our trip in 2004 and came across a shot of my DS8 with the Rabbit and remember him being so excited about it :rotfl:

Hey G. Fite. I just love Disneyland fun! We have it on VHS and we have just about worn it out. I didn't know they had a DVD version of it.
