For Palo Brunch and Tea, I just wear a polo shirt with slacks. For Formal night I wear a Jacket and Tie. For Semi-Formal I just wear a tie. Still I refuse to take it completely serious, I will wear a Star Trek tie most of the time, but since we will probably be in Lumiers on formal night I will wear one of the ties I got when working for Disney at the L.A. set up of the Broadway version of Beauty and the Beast.

I haven't been on the board much lately and am making up for lost time. DH and DS are working on a house cleaning project and I'm staying clear out of the way. :cool1: They are doing a good job too. Just for this good work, I'm ordering them Mickey bars when we get on the cruise!

Can't wait till I can see this view again.

Palo dinner requires a least a tie or jacket. So you do not have bring a jacket but he does have to wear a tie. (Get him a mickey mouse tie, I have one :lmao:)

Great idea! Tie is lighter than a jacket to pack. Do we need a jacket for formal night? I'm guessing yes.

Ok...that answers my question. Definitely a jacket then too. Thank you!

Palo is the only place where the dress code is enforced. I have seen jeans and t-shirts on formal night in the main dining rooms. :scared1: To each his own. :lmao: even though the fashion police might give them a ticket. :rotfl2::rotfl2: DCL has given us a good reason to dress up nicely so we do so we can get nice family pictures. You do not have to wear a jacket in the main dining rooms.

I've dreaming about this view.....it can't come fast enough. Work has been relentless.

When at work keep thinking 55 days to the Magic :cool1::cool1::cool1: and leave the stress behind.

Thanx Everyone :thumbsup2
Hubbie will be very happy to know that he dosnt need to bring a jacket im hoping to persuade him to wear a matching waistcoat set with the boys, hopefully i can twist his arm lol:cool1:

From the DCL website

Palo: (Disney Dream, Disney Wonder, Disney Magic) With its 270-degree ocean view from high atop the ship on Deck 10, Palo has the loveliest view of all restaurants on the ship. Palo is adults 18 and over only, and reservations are required. This restaurant features outstanding Northern Italian cuisine prepared to order.

The view from Palo is spectacular due to the restaurant’s location on the ship, but please keep in mind that the view is only “viewable” before sunset. Around the perimeter of Palo is a walkway, which at night is illuminated by bright lights. After sunset, the only things visible from Palo are those bright lights and a reflection of the interior of the restaurant. We would certainly not let this deter us from taking an available reservation at a later time, but we like to let guests know that an earlier reservation is often easier to get and offers the addition of the spectacular view and sunset. A new feature on the Dream is the option to dine outside on Palo's private teak deck.

Because your server does not follow you to this restaurant, a $15.00* cover charge per person is applied. In addition to dinner on both the Wonder and Magic, Palo brunch (Palo Brunch Photos ) is served at Palo on days at sea on the Magic and on the Wonder 4-night sailings. The same $15.00 fee is charged. On the Magic, there is a "High Tea" offered during the days at sea for a $5.00 fee. Reservations are required for all dining at Palo.

*Prices for Palo on the Dream will be $20 for dinner and brunch, and $10 for High Tea.

During dinner, gentlemen will be required to wear a dress shirt. Gentlemen wearing polo shirts, t-shirts, Tommy Bahama style shirts, etc will not be allowed admittance. Jackets and/or ties are recommended but not required. Notices will be in the Personal Navigator, on the Palo reservation card and a sign outside the elevators on deck 10 will contain this dress advisory. The Resort Casual dress code for both the brunch and high tea remains unchanged.

:thumbsup2 Cheers Dan very helpful :banana:

Dan the only funny thing of your post, is I was told the price went up on all ships. This will be interesting. Also I see you never took my dare to show the back side of the Welcome Aboard signs in the hallway to the Gangway.

I think you are right about the increased cost of Palo. As for the dare I believe you to be incorrect. Please see post 2415

My bad Dan I stand corrected. I am usally working so sometimes I miss posts. From what I seen recently they did change the look those signs, so why can't they give the Wonder a new banner?

DCL can spend a few billion $$$ on new ships but not $20 on a new banner for the Wonder. :confused3:confused3 There are things in the world we will never be able to explain. :lmao::lmao:

It never fails.....on my days off everybody(including me lately) has stuff to do and doesn't get on. If i have to work y'all get real chatty and post 2-3 more pages on me:lmao:

They also have new embarkation backdrops as well. I think they need to get on the ball here.

Thanks for posting the info on Palo Dan. It's so true. The sunset view from Palo is the best. We have the best pictures of the sunset from deck 10 when we were dining in Palo. And thanks for the help. Now I know what I have to pack for clothes for formal night :goodvibes I'll be checking in later this evening. Now, I have to go brave the 100+ heat
