Dan, these pics are just amazing.

I feel like I'm standing right under her:thumbsup2

Anyway, it is a beautiful day in the neighborhood today. In the 70s for temps and I have off to enjoy it. Watched Onlsow run around with the next door doggies. That's a first for him to go do that :thumbsup2 Then we took him to a small local park down the road and walked around a bit. Just gorgeous. NEED more days like this:wizard:

Spring is not far off at all:cutie:

I took that one while tendering into Grand Cayman. You are almost under the bow of the Magic. You really get a sense of her size at that moment.

Nice day here as well. We are in the high 50s but we'll take it. We had 3 inches of snow last week. Hopefully spring has started.

OK everyone join in posting pics. We have only 223 days to the Magic . One last one for me today.

Love this picture! I can't wait until we are in the 20's for weeks but 32 isn't shabby...

Wow!!! This one is great!!! I'm trying to figure out how I can do something with all that scroll work and Mickey...trace it, copy it, do something...the front of that is awesome!

Nice Sunday Treat!:thumbsup2

A recommendation to all the newbies is to keep a camera on you at ALL times. I was wondering around on embarkation day taking pics of the Walt muriel and this is what I got. :rotfl2:

This is what makes DCL so much fun. You never know when a character will appear. Those are the best times for one on one time with the characters. I sure all the DCL vets have stories of their encounters.

This is so true! DH & I were wandering around the Wonder before dinner one night and Peter Pan and Captain Hook were running around the Atrium! Peter Pan told all the kids to chase after Captain Hook, so they started doing the alligator chop w/ their hands, saying "tick tock." Captain Hook kept banging on the wall, trying to get away, and banging on the elevators. It was awesome!! I'll try to post some pics of it soon!

Greetings fellow cruisers!

It was great reading all the posts and getting caught up. I LOVED seeing all the pictures! They are fantastic! I can't wait to see St. Thomas, it looks so beautiful there! Hopefully I can figure out how to post some pics of my own to share with you all.

Question....Besides up on the top decks, where is a good place to watch the ship leave the port on Sail Away day? DH & I have done the Sail Away party, & although it was fun & should not be missed if you haven't got to go to one, we want to do something a little different on this cruise. Suggestions??

We like to be on Deck 4.

You may want to go to deck 10 and go in the front of the wind screen by the goofy sports deck. You get a great view of Port Canaveral as the Magic pulls out. One warning is that it can get very windy up there.

We're on - Bob and Mary Stack, Hartland, WI

can't wait!

:welcome: Bob and Mary :welcome:

So glad to have you sailing with us. We may not be the fastest moving thread on the Meets board, but we have LOTS of wonderful people here. The first post is filled with info for who's sailing and the spreadsheet link. Please have a look and send me any info you want to share:thumbsup2

And since I'm a bored child I am hosting the FE exchange as well:lmao: If you'd like to jump on board the exchange or have any questions, please fire away.

And I'll share that my DH is from WI too. Grew up in Racine. So we're very happy with the Packers here:cool1:

Great pictures!
:welcome: Bob & Mary :welcome:
Has anyone decided what excursions they are going to do yet?

I think we are going to stick with the beach excursions at both ports just because we have never been there before and want to relax. We also want to try parasailing at Castaway Cay. Has anyone ever done this before? Is it worth it? :confused3 It looks like a lot of fun.

:welcome: Bob and Mary!!!:welcome:

This thread has been so helpful, fun, and really gets you 'pumped' with all the pictures!
:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

I have another newbie question!:lmao: Our flight going home doesn't leave until 5:00pm. I saw on another thread here that you can get a day pass at the Hyatt. Has anyone done this and is it worth it? Another option is to rent a car and go to DTD. Where do you do that from the port?:confused3

That's what we are doing...renting a car and going back to Downtown Disney for a few hours. I'll rent the car online before we go, and then catch the shuttle at the Port and go get the car. Everyone on here makes it sound soooo easy, so we'll see...:goodvibes I'm pretty sure I'll be using Budget both to get there and back, and have heard they run shuttles quite often on the days of arrival and departures. Our flight leaves out at 5:30 I think, so we just wanted one more 'Disney shot' before heading back home!

I did see where some people enjoyed having the Hyatt, but we just weighed our options, know that we won't be there but for maybe 4 or 5 hours at the max, and would rather have lunch and shop/play at DTD.

Hope this helps!:thumbsup2

Hey Judith! We haven't decided as of yet either. We're thinking about the Turtle doubloon Snorkeling ? excursion, or renting the two seater bikes and snorkeling..we really haven't nailed down anything yet. Maybe even hiking. As it gets closer to July, we'll nail it down. On CC, we just want to enjoy the island, perhaps biking, snorkeling, relaxing, etc...

It'd be interesting seeing what the consensus is with our cruise meet, where everyone wants to go. We'll have to plan around the inlaws, so that if we want to do something active, they can go shopping or a casino, since they are somewhat limited to what they can do. Anyone else made definite plans yet?:confused3

 Oh My Goodness!!! What NOT to watch before going on a cruise!!! Anyone else see the documentary this weekend about the 'Oceania' going down close to Durbin? My dd daughter came in, saw it, and couldn't believe it! The crew went on the lifeboats first and left 240 passengers still on the ship! It was quite a sight! And the captain...:scared1:...

Anyone else?:rolleyes1

I was checking out the rental car quotes on Expedia and Orbitz and it was showing that Hertz was the cheapest for like $35? Maybe we will go with them. Now I have to change our Disney transport to just going down on the 8th.

what channel was that on? I never heard of them leaving anyone on the ship before the crew left though. Crazy!!:scared1:

OK so I have another liquor question and we are not huge drinkers really.:lmao: I thought about taking the cab to the store right by the airport and thought maybe someone else would want to go with me and share a cab? any takers:confused3 I just wanted to get some beer and maybe one bottle of liquor. That would really help us with the drink bill..
