Magic In Paradise: 10/8-10/15 2011. All cruisers check in here. (#2)

I am always just too darn slow to post my photos, aren't I? Oh well, haha. Onto happier things!

I was curious about Halloween themed things in October. According the another thread they do Halloween activities during the last two weeks in October? I'm guessing we just missed that time? Darn! I'm sure I'll be getting a lot of free candy anyway :rolleyes1 haha

Maybe we will at least get to see some of the decorations going up. If they are going to have activities for the cruises after us, they will need to start setting up while we are onboard, right? They get on the same day we get off.....:confused3

Just got back from from a night in the Westchester Medical Center's Trauma Center. DS's ear has been reattached and he's in a room. Plastic surgeon did an awesome job. took almost 2 hours and they lost count of how many stitches it took to repair the ear. Oh well, never a dull moment. Off to bed for a few hours of sleep before I go back to the hospital.

OH MY GOOGNESS!! Poor Gary!!! Sure thankful his ear was saved, and there was a plastic surgeon available! Know you're exhausted! And he's BANNED from ATV's!!!:goodvibes At least while we're on this cruise!!!

pixiedust: for quick healing!!!

Thanks everyone, and as Madalyn mentioned...it was an ATV accident. He was riding it and didn't' notice a guide wire until the last second and wasn't able to avoide it. thankful it was his ear and not his head. I hate those things. We do not own one, but he was riding a friend's.

Well, going to shower, pack up a few things for him and head back to the hospital.

:woohoo: 27 Days until we're 'leavin...on a jet plane'!!!!!!:woohoo:

And hope I remember to ship these boxes...seems like they've been in my dining room FOREVER! If someone else mails 'em out, let us know (and hopefully it'll remind me:rotfl:)! Have a great Saturday everyone!

Good morning fellow cruisers. It is that time of the week again. Another week has gone by.
We now have only

Sorry to hear about Gary's accident. Glad they were able to save the ear. Hopefully he is feeling better. Get some rest cause hospitals are no fun and DW works at one. Good luck and hoping for the best.

Sorry but we will not be seeing any decorations. DCL is not starting any Halloween activities until after our cruise. I have been on a Halloween cruise and one that close enough for the activities and what DCL does is not all that. Compared to WDW it is very weak. The Halloween activities are only out for one day and the decorations are out for less than a day. Sorry. Here is the party held inside due to rain from 2009.

:( Sorry to hear about that. Glad that everything is ok. :thumbsup2 No more accidents now, ya hear?

Wow. Well, no disappointment then! Thanks!! :thumbsup2

I was just curious.

Well three weeks from right now I will be at The Magic Kingdom to celebrate it's 40th anniversary. The dinning for the day is Cinderellas Royal Table. I was able to get early dinner reservations.

OMG :scared1:

That is scary. We will be praying for him tonight at church.

Well, congrats on going to the MK..:thumbsup2, but personally? :confused3 You can have CRT! We were NOT impressed with our meal or the service. Too rushed, too much $ for a meal that was definitely mediocre, and even Cinderella didn't really 'stop' for a pic! We'd always heard about CRT, booked as soon as we could, and my dd was very disappointed. May have been just our experience:confused3, but we thought the Germany princess meal was twice as good, character experience GREAT, and didn't feel like we were on a conveyor belt...in/out. But hey, at least we can say we did it, at least once!
Hope your experience WAY tops ours!!:)

CRT is not usaly at the top of the list, but for this day it seemed appropriate. One question, when did they start doing a princess meal in Germany? I thought that was at Norway.

FYI, The Magic has left Barcelona starting her trans-atlantic voyage home to PC. Our cruise is getting closer. :cool1::cool1:
