Magic In Paradise: 10/8-10/15 2011. All cruisers check in here. (#2)

If you haven't gotten your room assignments yet, keep checking. I need em ASAP so I can send out the list to everybody. I can see form the main boards that they oughta be coming any second now. :thumbsup2

I just realized I never specified who would be in which rooms

Darrel and I will be in 6100 and Jen & Lila are in 6102. Our FE have our names on them so it will be easy to figure out when everyone gets there but just in case anyone needed to know now.

I was able to get to the lists from the old thread. The links in the first post of this thread tell me I need a google account to access them.

Checking twice a day for the last 3 weeks! I keep telling myself that perhaps I need to give it a day or two without checking -- you know, the watched pot never boils -- but then I check anyway.

Interestingly, one of our three cabins was assigned over a month ago (we're only doing FE's from two of our three cabins and it is the one that is not participating that we have a room number on deck 7 for).

We are nervously waiting and checking out of fear that the other two rooms won't be near the one that has been assigned. Of course, if they want to give us a nice upgrade, we'll take a room anywhere on the ship.

Whew!!!! So glad y'all are in 6100!!! I took a guess when I labeled your FE gifts for each cabin...so :woohoo:! I was hoping...:goodvibes

Won't be long now!:banana::banana::banana:

Forever:lmao:

Oh BOY, I wish i could go back to the days when 7 weeks seems like forever:rotfl2:

Now 7 weeks means, blink and its "OH CRAP" time.

*I've gotta get my packing list in order,
* go visit doggie hotels to see if we have changed our mind about Onlsow being at home. I'm just so on the fence about it now that Rally is gone, boy I miss him:sad2:
* finish buying clothes for the trip
*Drag Dh to get his stuff tailored:lmao:
*strart buying stuff for the cooler and the drive down
* finish the FE gifts,

And somewhere in there, I have an actual job, a visit to my parents' house next weekend. And try to run AVON campaigns:rotfl2:

AND 7 WEEKS TO GET IT ALL DONE:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

I know what you mean. My list looks similar. Half of me thinks I'm never going to get everything done in time, the other half is, Whoa! Slow down! Lets take one thing at a time!! It still seems like forever away to me!!

:thumbsup2 She already has...with 1300 OTHER kids in Nashville! We went on a whim, got there and she was number 1200 something. It was a cool audition though. She said she was so glad she did it!

No one really knew what they were looking for, but it was great exposure, great experience, and she learned a lot!:goodvibes

I just let her do what she wants as far as auditioning. She met an LA agent year before last, but we just didn't want to do it. Wrong timing.
She's young, loves to act, sing, and dance, so we're just letting her follow her passion right now. But it's a neat hobby for sure!

Wow! That is great!! I'd love to do that someday but I'm not much of a singer. As for dancing, I can learn moves but I'm not good when it comes to making my own choreographing. :rolleyes1

Ah let me introduce you to the lovely Philadelphia International Airport Domestic Terminal, located in the lovely Tinicum Township, Delaware County:lmao: (OK, so the place is dive:rotfl:) From Harrisburg, I'm kind of guessing here, but the whatsit (western?) extension of the PA Turnpike to Valley Forge/KOP, then 76 to 476 to 95 gets you there, and all you've done was circle around the outskirts of the city:worship: a little further up the airport highway and you've reached the international terminal, which OMG is actually located in Philly:lmao:

Honestly, getting to the airport really is not bad at all. The actual design of the airport is a whole different story, but if I had to choose between Reagan and Philly, I'd take Philly. Starting a drive at 2am, to arrive at 6am for an 8am flight is SOOO not on my list of things to do. I know this adds so close to the cruise, but maybe you want to consider leaving on Friday night right after Nicole's last class and driving to Reagan then. I would not be very confident of my ability drive and stay awake at that point in the night, even though the tradeoff is no traffic. But that's me.

As for the getting lost :scared1: Next time call Dan:rotfl: I've been through most of the city having grown up just outside of it. Even lived in 1 of its cemeteries for a little while, but I was young and don't actually remember that. My dad and his siblings spent their entire childhoods in the same cemetery. We're an unusual family:lmao: But I've lived in VA for almost 8 years now, so I'm not up on the traffic.

I know. My parents just never had the best experience from the Philly airport. I used it once when I flew to Ireland in 2008 and it wasn't bad but then again, we rode a bus to get there. :confused3 Unfortunately, I already bought the tickets back in March, I think. I'm checking with Nicole if we could at least travel down the night before. We'll just have to stock up on extra caffeine! :lmao:

Good morning everyone. My darling DS goes to private Kindergarten today. I can't believe how quickly this came up. This weekend he watched Snow White and the 7 Dwarves for the first time and he just loved it. He laughed through all the scenes with the dwarves. Now I'm definitely going to have to wait in that 7 dwarves line again at MNSSHP. Last year, we got pics with them at MNSSHP and at MVMCP. But DS was completely snoozing for the pic. We were at the park till midnight.:scared1: He was running around till 11:35 and then went in the stroller and was out. We got our pic at 5 mins later. :rotfl:

But at MVMCP, it was earlier and we got this pic. Walked right up with no line. It was a :scared1:

:thumbsup2 How fun for him! And could be a hard time for mom?:goodvibes Remember those emotions for first day of Kindergarten, but how sweet when I picked them up at the end of the day! Hope his day is Wonderful!
And  those pics with the dwarfs! We never saw them at MNSSHP, but we were ALL over the place, so that doesn't surprise me! Can't wait to see all these kids enjoying every last minute of the cruise (or the parents either)!

I just made it easy on myself and the people that were listed with 2 different cabins, I just made one bag for both. So some people's bags will be bigger due to having 4-7 people in them.:thumbsup2 I did list both cabin #'s on them so they would know it was for both cabins.
I don't have a google account but it comes up when I click on the link? I haven't checked it though since we went to #2 thread so I better look.

yep, the link here on 2 gives me that message for Google too. I clicked back on the first thread on that link and it took me to it so you will have to go there to check it out and print it.

We got to finally see the dwarfs for the first time in Dec at the MVMCP but had to take our far away pic due to the long line.:sad1:

What cabin number are you on deck 7?

The gty room we have an assignment for is 7623, starboard side, a little aft of the aft elevators.

We initially booked two cabins for the six of us, but then Expedia had a deal with $300 OBC per cabin. We get a combined $900 OBC and DS 18 will be in his own cabin (privacy is a nice thing).

I hope the assignments for the other two cabins come this week.

Thanks! He did just great. I'm the one having a hard time...sniff sniff. I definitely hope he has a GREAT time today.

i was given my gty cabins months ago so i take it this wont change now? or can it change at the port? the reason i ask is that we have two cabins that are next to each other but arent connected the only way i would like an upgrade is if we got connecting cabins!
Thanx Mandyx

Page 2 again!!:scared1: Bumping, I have a question about the picture time. I am thinking around 7:45 would be a good time to do the Pirate Pic. That is after the first dinner but before second. Everyone should have time to finish dinner and the show and there should be enough time for everyone to get to where they need to after that. :confused3 For you vets, does that seem OK?
It will be in the atrium so is that enough time to get to the theater and restaurants?

I don't think its going to change at this point unless you are the one to change it. So I think you kind of have what you have at this point:thumbsup2

Your timing sounds good, sorry I won't be there as I just do like the Pirate thing at all. The only problem I see is the location. The atrium is the place were Shutters sets up a lot of places for people to take pics before dinner. Just a warning.
