Magic In Paradise: 10/8-10/15 2011. All cruisers check in here. (#2)

It is so nice to wake up to the Port Canaveral Webcam showing me the beautiful boat we will be boarding in exactly one week!!! I cannot believe it! Tomorrow starts my double shifts until we leave at 4am on Thursday morning wish me luck!

Good Luck and pixiedust: !!!!!!!!!!!!
"just keep swimming, just keep swimming!":goodvibes

Now THAT'S what I'm talking about!!! Just that site melts this chik's heart!!! I'm so excited on one hand:banana::banana::banana: and yet, the thought occurred to me this morning... No more countdowns...:sad2:

...unless of course I can get dh to love, love, love this cruise!

That is what rebooking is for. That way you can look forward to your next cruise. I will have 36 weeks or 252 days to the Fantasy :cool1:the moment I sadly walk off the Magic :sad2:.

The final list I tried to send out bounced. Seems your mailbox is unavailable:confused3 Everybody else for FEs you should have gotten the final list and deck map.

That's the last 1 i am sending before we go:thumbsup2

After literally freezing our butts off this morning at a 9am soccer game for the oldest DD, I am ready to be on that boat in warmer weather, getting my sun on!!!

Can someone summarize in one post for me when and where the group is going to meet during the cruise? If I remember correctly, we are meeting near the Goofy pool on Saturday afternoon and for photos sometime on Pirate night. Are there any other times?

Of course, I didn't write those down and now would rather not have to read back through every post to find the information. And I suspect there are others like me who can't remember.

By the way, I was helping my sister in law (wife's twin) find her cruise meet group yesterday. She is sailing the Magic to the western Caribbean on Nov. 29, 2011. I was surprised to see that their group has barely managed 15 pages of posts in two years. My sister in law was curious about joining their FE group and said she only found 3 or 4 families who wanted to participate. She's a little jealous that we have such an active and fun group.

Anyway, I guess that's my way of saying to all of you that you are great! We have really enjoyed passing the weeks and months anticipating this cruise with all of you here. We have had some great laughs together, shared a lot of good tips, infected each other with excitement (Madalyn being the primary carrier of that infection), and even had a couple of sad moments. And a week from now we'll all be together on board!:jumping3:

Thanks everyone!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe its 3pm at the Goofy pool on Saturday, then between seatings on Pirate night in the atrium?

BTW will someone have a sign (LOL) that says "DIS" ers? Just curious. I'm sure we will bump in to each other before the Goofy Pool anyway.

Hello all. I know I'm a bit late to this cruise meet. We've been booked since Nov 2009. We are so excited that the cruise is finally almost here!

DD 10 and DS 12 just told me they would like to know if any other kids their age will be on our cruise. DD turns 11 in January and DS will celebrate his 13th birthday on 10/8. Anyone else have a 10 or 11 year old DD? We've been on 3 DCL cruises and my kids seem like the only ones who aren't interested in the kids club. Seems like they feel like prisoners in the Lab. I don't really get it but I've learned to live with it. This time DS is old enough for the Edge and DD is close. I'm hoping the counselors will let her in the Edge as well. She's used to being around her brother and his friends so and I'm thinking the fact it's more of a place to meet other kids than a place for babysitting might be better for us.

Anyway, she just said I should post something on the DISboards to see if there was anyone else her age she might be able to look for when we arrive. So, per her request I'm asking you all. I've read a bit of the cruise meet and seems like you all are a very nice group.

Susan

We're traveling my niece Lila who just turned 10 yesterday. She's loved the clubs on her previous two cruises.

She'll be wearing an orange mickey mouse shirt in the terminal. Her mom will also be in orange, Darrell and I will be in green mickey mouse shirts.

We have 1 year, 2 months exactly from the day we step off the Magic until we sail on the Fantasy.

WWOOOWWWEEEEE!!!!!!
Only 6 days until we leave!! Can't wait!

DH finally finalized who is :drive:us to the airport & picking us up after the trip. Thank goodness! I was stressing.

Putting the finishing touches on the FEs and getting them packed up this weekend. Then to start the actual packing process. I've got my list made - now to get it all in the bags.

Here's hoping this last week of school goes by quickly for both of us & DH doesn't have to break up anymore fights. By the time friday gets here, we will be running out of school and racing to the airport!! :woohoo:

Not sure if I'll get back on here before the trip, so good luck to everyone still packing & getting ready (myself included)! Safe travels to those leaving early! and see you all on Saturday when we'll be surrounded by the pixiedust:!!

What kind of surgery are you having?

I've never had to be cathed before a surgery and the last 1 i had was pretty serious. I don't think i had a stress test either, just some blood work and an ekg. But I'm right there with you:thumbsup2 Nobody caths me until i fail a stress test either

I'm having some female exploratory stuff, might fix something. for a short answer. But have inherited a heart valve issue from my dad. Echo numbers are still WNL. I get EKG's regularly. Thanks for asking.

 Yuck and more yuck! But here's hoping and praying that your trip far surpasses any one of those thoughts about your surgery!!! pixiedust: for sure!

Damn right:thumbsup2

No idea what I'm booking or when I'm sailing again, but guaranteed there will be a deposit made on something before i get off that ship.

Watching the Carnival Dream head out to sea. In about 15 minutes the Magic is due to head out on her very last trip without us this year:cool1::banana::yay::woohoo: So the next time we see her she will be getting ready for us to party on :dance3::dance3:
