I have gone back and forth all week on this, but the coupon book for Oct. from BJs Club has sealed the deal and I stayed within my price budget. I just order a Panasonic Lumix from the site with 2 day express shipping. so hopefully it gets here Tuesday, no later than Weds though. God knows I need it Weds.

Was a great deal that included a 4gb card and camera case to go with for $129.99, add in shipping and tax and it comes to $147.51. 2nd best deal of the week, but better shipping options than a deal on the same model from WOOT so i am stoked.

Now let's all do the pixie dust dance and say bring Mo her camera

Hello all. I know I'm a bit late to this cruise meet. We've been booked since Nov 2009. We are so excited that the cruise is finally almost here!

DD 10 and DS 12 just told me they would like to know if any other kids their age will be on our cruise. DD turns 11 in January and DS will celebrate his 13th birthday on 10/8. Anyone else have a 10 or 11 year old DD? We've been on 3 DCL cruises and my kids seem like the only ones who aren't interested in the kids club. Seems like they feel like prisoners in the Lab. I don't really get it but I've learned to live with it. This time DS is old enough for the Edge and DD is close. I'm hoping the counselors will let her in the Edge as well. She's used to being around her brother and his friends so and I'm thinking the fact it's more of a place to meet other kids than a place for babysitting might be better for us.

Anyway, she just said I should post something on the DISboards to see if there was anyone else her age she might be able to look for when we arrive. So, per her request I'm asking you all. I've read a bit of the cruise meet and seems like you all are a very nice group.

Hi Susan! Yes, there are several dd's that age on this cruise! We have a 12dd, and I'm pretty sure there are others that may be any where from 9-14. Tell her she won't be alone! We're excited and counting down the days!:

Hi Susan! Welcome to the group! Not sure if they will let her in with the older kids. My experience is they are pretty strict with the ages. But that's based on what I know from my son. He had just turned 18 when we went on a the Magic and he tried to get into the Stack and they wouldn't let him. He was stuck in limbo. Too old to be a teen and too young for the regular night clubs since he wasn't allowed to drink until 21 and would be kicked out of the night clubs after a certain hour. Most of the friends he made on the ship were all around 17. Disney really needs to relax the 18 year old rule. I mean, some kids are still in High School at 18! Oh well, didn't mean to rant about that.

Just checking in after a few days away. Busy with house, shopping, and the cardiologist I get to do a stress test 2 days before the cruise, because I won't let him cath me until I fail a stress test. (I think he just wants to sucker my insurance.) All b/c I am having very minor surgery 5 days after the cruise.
Most excellent news: Booze carry on packed, wine, liquor, and mixers. Water carry on packed.
Clothes will be packed after the stress test.
News from DS18 at college. He got into his old blazer for a frat/rushing dinner. But will need a new one soon. But it will work for the cruise.

What kind of surgery are you having?

I've never had to be cathed before a surgery and the last 1 i had was pretty serious. I don't think i had a stress test either, just some blood work and an ekg. But I'm right there with you Nobody caths me until i fail a stress test either

Had lunch in Germany and a couple of drinks at Food and Wine. Then off to the Studio and we went on Rocking Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, The Great Movie Ride, abd Star Tours. Then had a quick Dinner at Pizza Planet. Then saw One Man's Dream and Fantasmic. (Why does the one her suck big time while ours at Disneyland rules?). So long day. Big day tomorrow. I'm starting to get so excited I couldn't sleep and got up at 4 a.m. Thinking about my pack list and all the things I have to do before we leave. Well, my FE box is almost done and I will be taking it to UPS this morning to get it shipped off!

Now I have to get the family out of the house, so I can pack without being interrupted a million times. Can't wait to be at Ohana for dinner Tuesday night and seeing the fireworks! Going to be very little sleep between now and the cruise. I'll be relaxing and zzzz on the cruise with a konk kooler in one hand and a Mickey bar in the other. If there's a party on deck 6, wake me up

It is so nice to wake up to the Port Canaveral Webcam showing me the beautiful boat we will be boarding in exactly one week!!! I cannot believe it! Tomorrow starts my double shifts until we leave at 4am on Thursday morning wish me luck!
