Magic In Paradise: 10/8-10/15 2011. All cruisers check in here. (#2)

:confused3 Don't know about anyone else...but doesn't it seem right before a vacation that life is so hectic, things are so busy, and you barely have time to come up for air?

Whew!!! Can't wait for this cruise!!!:banana::banana:

and GO AWAY LEE, and M, N, O, P, and Whoever else wants to grace us with their gifts of wind/rain and tornados!

Those would be..Lee, Maria, Nate, Ophelia and Phillipe.

I really don't want to see any of them!

:rolleyes1 So this newbie has a question:

For those who have rented cars and have to drop them off before boarding:

Where does dh drop family off? Is there a 'loop' for drop offs? Is there a sign? Or do you just 'follow the crowd'?

And after dh drops us off, do we just wait for him to return before checking in? A little confused, I did read on the boards where we needed his passport but he needs to keep his license to get back in the port. But, can we check in without him? Any advice?:goodvibes

Good morning fellow cruisers.
We now have only

The last time we drove ourselves to Port Canaveral was to get on the Big Red Boat. Our last two Disney Cruises we have taken their bus transfer. I believe there is a drop off and pick up area. I found this map online.

Disney is the North Cruise Terminal. I'm not sure about checking in without the entire family. Don't they take pictures of everyone for ID purposes that they link to your Key?

Thanks Maria! I'm hoping they have some signs? Surely! Dh will not be pleased if I've found out everything BUT what he needs to know..:rotfl:

And I've read so many things on the threads, some have said bring his passport and he keeps his license? This is all 'clear as mud' to us...:goodvibes

That is what I read too. You will need all cruise paperwork signed and ready plus all passports. I thought that you could check in without him though.:confused3

ALERT!!

My TA just stopped by and told me that DCL auto upgraded me to deck 8 on the port side without notifiying me. She happened to check my ressie this morning. I told her to undo it. Even though it is a upgrade from a cat 5 to cat 4 it is right under the Mickey Pool. You do NOT want a room under the pools. The noise level is terrible with all the chair movement by crew late at night and early in the morning. :scared1: Also the room was on the port side and we wanted the starboard side for the view of CC. She just called DCL and was able to get the 6616 back.
Everyone should check their ressies immediately.

Funny you posted about that! My dh has a friend who just got off the Dream and he had one of those rooms! Said it was terrible! They couldn't even take a nap due to the noise. He told dh WHATEVER you do, make sure your rooms are not under pools!

Checked everything is good:thumbsup2
Glad you could get your cabin back!!!!:woohoo:

I check mine every other day or so for an upgrade and as of today still in my same ol cabin.:sad1:
I guess us little inside cabins probably won't get anything. There are still rooms available for inside on the website. Thanks for telling us about the pools though just in case...:scared1:

OH, I forgot. I also read not to get anyplace under the sports deck area either. Can you imagine basketball playing over your head?

:banana::dance3::yay::woohoo:

Was just opening my envelope(boy did it not want to open:lmao: ) when i read about Dan's upgrade. Sadly our online details still match the luggage tags. NO upgrade for us:sad1:

Thanks for the tips about under the pool though. If we ever happened to be upgraded to that area we will get it fixed:thumbsup2
