Took a break from yard work cleaning up after the hurricane and found it awfully quiet here. Time for a another picture bump

here's the deal for today: I have LOTS of shopping to do most of it for the cruise. Hitting Consignment stores for the first time ever to see if they have something suitable for formal night. Everything in my Fall catalogs is still too casual

So everybody playing in the FEs leave a message in my PM box or email me at moluvsdisneymagic@cox.net . Just pick surprise or assigned days for playing.

When i get back on later whenever that is whatever the majority says is the route we're going

Why oh why is the only really nice outfit I have in like 10 pictures from the last cruise

Consignment stores. malls. Its all the same, nothing. zip. nada.

I really do NOT feel like spending hte last day before i leave for the cruise shopping for a damn outfit.

Maybe I'll eat at the pool that night, then I don't have to dress up.

Am I missing something? Your FE list looked great, answered all questions, and I think between that list and the 'who's going' list, everything could be answered. Why do we need an email list? Just wondering....and btw..your list did look decent!

The emailed 1 is basically for reference on the ship. So you have it handy, I know I prefer to have 1 so I may as well email it to everybody who is playing. Going to be more basic though with DISName and cabin number and deck map. Somebody here emailed me a deck map. I must go find that

To all my fellow veteran cruisers, well and the new ones as well, is it me or does tge Magic and Wonder look better than the Dream? Yes the dream looks nice, I just think the older ones look better.

Don't know about anyone else...but doesn't it seem right before a vacation that life is so hectic, things are so busy, and you barely have time to come up for air?

Whew!!! Can't wait for this cruise!!!

and GO AWAY LEE, and M, N, O, P, and Whoever else wants to grace us with their gifts of wind/rain and tornados!

To all my fellow veteran cruisers, well and the new ones as well, is it me or does tge Magic and Wonder look better than the Dream? Yes the dream looks nice, I just think the older ones look better.

I agree the Magic is a better looking ship. She has better classic look about her. The Dream has a funny look about her with decks 5 though 10 inset from the bottom and top. Looks like an I. Also even though I am sure we will love the Aqua Duck as a ride but it would look better in a water park than a classic passanger liner. Oh well I will not be getting a close up of the new ship until next year on the Fantasy. I'll leave my final judgement until then.

Couldn't agree more. Things around us here in KY have so hectic the past week or so. We did manage to go to the Halloween store yesterday tho with the DD's and pick up some pirate stuff for the Pirate party! We leave in 32 to start our drive down and cannot wait!!!

Went to MacArthur Center this afternoon after church and FINALLY found something dressy enough for Formal night/Captain's gala. Whatever y'all wanna call it. I am sooo glad to have that done.

NOW i can start planning my evening wear so I can pack for the trip Not that most of the outfits will have dates on em, but if i know how I'm packing then its much easier. That's how i worked it the last cruise.

Now if I buy anything else for the cruise clothing wise it will be because it was on clearance. We shall have to see. It is soo nice not to be Plus size any more. Lots more options now.

Ya know, I've only really seen the Dream in pictures and youtube videos. Mostly she looks fine, although I don't really think the back of her is as sleek as the Magic. I dunno, will probably wait for final judgement until I'm onboard the Fantasy which will likely be our next ship too.

Found this last night clicking the New Posts button. Since we are both going through SC on our way, I thought I'd copy it here:

This article was in our local paper this morning:

"SANTEE-Motorists on one of the most heavily traveled Interstates in South Carolina can expect heavy traffic jams during September.

The State Department of Transportation is starting repairs on the northbound lane of the Interstate 95 bridge over Lake Marion at Santee.

Officials say a routine inspection found the concrete on the deck of the bridge built in the late 1960s is deteriorating. The bridge is safe, but repairs are needed.

Construction work begins September 12 and northbound traffic will be limited to one lane traveling at 45mph 24 hours a day. Wide trucks and overweight loads will be routed around the construction expected to be completed in mid-November.

Motorists are warned to expect heavy congestion, especially on weekends. I-95 is the main north-south route from Maine to Florida."
