Magic Express Luggage Tags?????

Did anyone get theirs yet??? I am getting a little concerned. We leave 5/11. I heard we were to get them 3 weeks before our trip. Anyone get theirs yet????

Hi! We leave May 5th and no luggage tags as of yet. I am going to call CRO tonight and find out what the scoop is. I am freaking out at this point!

There is an extensive thread on the transportation board about this. They started arriving today to some families, so they are coming!!

In D-Mail (Disney's weekly newsletter to travel agents) they gave the following information:

Documents for Disney’s Magical Express are scheduled to be sent 21 days prior to departure. However, due to the popularity of this new service that begins on May 5, the number of documents that need to be sent has exceeded expectations. Clients traveling within 21 days that do not have their documents yet will be receiving them shortly via express service. If a Client’s departure date is in less than 10 days and they have not received their Disney’s Magical Express documents, please contact 1-866-599-0951. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we launch this new and exciting Guest service.

I thought they were going to provide two tags per person since you can check two bags each?

Folks are saying that Disney is sending out two different types of tags: plastic tags with Tink on them that are sent out to folks who have booked a package and then some time later they send out the ME tags which have a bar code on them, similar to the bar code that is printed on the luggage routing tags the airlines use.

So, did you get the barcoded tags? or the plastic tags with Tink or the Castle on them?

LisaS...you are correct. The plastic tags with Tink on them, with the separate plastic "strap" are the tags which are sent to anyone who books a package with WDTC. Please, anyone who got them, do NOT use these for your ME!!

The first batch of ME tags just went out yesterday, I believe I heard, via FedEx for those travelling in the beginning of May. After this batch, they should be sent 21 days prior via regular mail.

From my understanding, the ME tags will be much more like the tags the airline themselves put on your bags (the ones with your destination on them). You will get 2 per person.

I would definitely call right now and ask for guest services. I am leaving Saturday, and I called about 3 weeks ago and told them I was worried and they told me they would be here soon. Well, they aren't. I called yesterday and spoke to someone in guest services and she fedex'ed them to me and I should have them tomorrow. I can only use them for the way back to the airport since we will be getting to DW before May 5.
