Magic Express for DVC member's guest

I got a BWV studio through a DVC member. Can I use the Magic Express transportation by getting the reservation through the member? Do I need to provide my flight info when the reservation is made?

The member will do it. That can be done either by phone or via the member site. When you book your flights, give the member the information so ME can be set up for you.

I was told by MS that the person I rented to could call up and give all info needed, after they receive the confirmation. It should be stated on the reservation that they wanted the Magical Express.

I'm curious if anyone has ever been turned away by Express CMs if they either show up at the counter at the airport without a reservation or at the resort check in counter without a reservation? In other words, how strictly do they enforce the advance reservation policy? Just wondering!

Earlier on, it wasn't that big of a deal. But, the third party agencies raised a big stink that Disney was 'stealing their fares', and for a while they were *very* particular about it. I don't know if they still are or not. As with all things Disney, I suspect that some people talk their way around it, but I would not use that as my basis for trip planning.

This would be hard to do if you were expecting ME to pick up your luggage!

Nope, only the member can call Member Services. When was the last time you were on the boards?

Even though your name may be on the reservation, I believe the owner must call to make any requests.

I'm renting a studio from a DVC member and I found the ME reservation site online (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/reservations/dme/?bhcp=1). I was able to make my own reservations using the reservation confirmation number that the DVC member gave me. I guess if the DVC member doesn't give you your confirmation number, you wouldn't be able to do it yourself! I received an email from ME saying that they got my reservation request. From other posts regarding online reservations for the Magical Express, it looks like that's all you would get.

My trip isn't until November, so we'll see sometime in October if I get my luggage tags. If I don't, then I guess I will contact the DVC member to reserve for me.
